No, Brinson has only ever been beaten by good fighters.ikorolev wrote:Khytrov's fight is a mismatch.

I'm also a big fan of Khurtsidze on the under who has the best cardio in the middleweight division... Also very durable so makes him a top chin and stamina checker

Ayala is far from washed up. I believe he knocked off a couple unbeaten prospects in the last year or so and has only lost to Stevens and Lemieux in the last 5 yrs.

And Brinson is just right for Khytrov at this point, although I hope Krytrov steps up to fight a top 15 contender in his next fight after this one.

Yes, for a 5-0 fighter he's a big test.diddy wrote:Ayala is far from washed up. I believe he knocked off a couple unbeaten prospects in the last year or so and has only lost to Stevens and Lemieux in the last 5 yrs.

Does anyone have any good info on prograis or cowart? Specifically whether one is favored in a betting line. Seems like the most evenly matched fight on card.

Looks like it's going to be streamed (legal stream) on a Ukrainian/Russian boxing website.

Khytrov -6000
Derevy -3000
These lines seem incredibly excessive.

I agree. I was looking for lines on the other fight though. I don't think anywhere is offering it online.

Early Results from Bally’s Atlantic City
By John DiSanto at ringside
In the opening bout at Bally’s Atlantic City, Brooklyn-based middleweight Avtandil Khurtsidze, 31-2-2, 20 KOs, charged right out and began pressing Miami’s Melvin Betancourt, 29-3, 23 KOs, from the opening bell. At first, the action was two-way, but then Khurtsidze’s heavier blows started to back up Betancourt. Once Betancourt stopped punching back, Khurtsidze steam-rolled forward and began to hurt his opponent to both the head and body. Suddenly a Khurtsidze left hook landed and Betancourt went down flat on his back. For the first five seconds or so, the fallen fighter did not move and appeared to be out cold. However, Betancourt managed to rise, but on unsteady legs. Referee Earl Brown took one look and stopped the fight. The time was 2:22 of round one in the scheduled 8-rounder.
Philadelphian Anthony Burgin, 9-1, 2 KOs, rebounded from his first professional defeat with a first round TKO of Justin Johnson, 7-9-4, of Pittsburgh, PA, in a scheduled 6-round lightweight contest. Burgin scored three knockdowns before referee Sparkle Lee halted the one-sided bout at 2:57 of round one.

The books have been getting beat up by the joke matchmaking that's been taking place so they're compensating by jacking up lines now. It's the only explanation. These lines are like 3x what they should be.diddy wrote:Khytrov -6000

More results from www.fightnews.com
In a scheduled 8-round heavyweight fight, Philly’s Joey Dawejko, 15-4-2, 8 KOs, stopped Robert Dunton, 11-15-1, 6 KOs, Wilmington, DE, with jarring right uppercut in the first round. The quick KO was his fifth first-rounder in his last six bouts, and a return to the win column after dropping a decision in his last outing. With his next bout, a nationally televised ShoBox encounter with Natu Visinia on August 28th, already set, the pressure was on Dawejko to escape this fight with no cuts or injuries. Dawejko finished his work on this night in just 31 seconds, and appeared to leave the ring in mint condition. Dunton got to his feet, but referee Earl Brown decided to stop it. This quickie kept the evening’s streak going – four bouts, four opening round TKOs.
The quick KOs kept coming at Bally’s when welterweight Noel Murphy, 3-0, 2 KOs, dropped DC’s Stacey Anderson, 0-3, twice in round one for another quick stoppage. The scheduled 4-round bout between the two southpaws, ended after 2:27. Murphy, Woodlawn, NY by way of Ireland, used a potent right hook to floor Anderson both times. Referee Sparkle Lee stopped the fight the moment Anderson fell for the second time.

Regis Prograis vs. Amos Cowart in the 6th round.
Prograis dominating, landing a lot, but he doesn't seem to have much power.

Cannot believe Khytrov is a -6000 favorite in this fight. Might be one of the worst lines I've ever seen.
Re: Ievgen Khytrov vs. Nick Brinson & Sergiy Derevyanchenko vs. Elvin Ayala on Showtime
Khytrov is crap. No wrinkles to his game at all. Just comes straight ahead. Doesn't move his head. Kid isn't going far. He might not even win this fight.
