Furys won't take it as its too early and would get in the way of Tysons prep for Klitschko I guess Wilders camp know this.

Too early for the young Fury, timing is no good due to Tyson v Wlad and it will be in the USA so Peter can't go.

I don't think Hughie has his manpower yet. Even so, Wilder looked extremely beatable against Molina.

Would've been a great oppurtunity for young Hughie,he didnt bowl me over last time against Arias but there's no doubting he was dominant,he'll never bring the excitement Tyson brings and i doubt he has his power but he's still a baby in HW terms and providing he keeps learning,keeps the head down,gains experience then with the Fury connections he'll get an oppurtunity maybe,,Wilder can punch no doubt and boxed well against Stiverne but he was poor against Molina and with Hughie's size he has a slight chance i'd say,Hughie hasnt really shown a good chin yet but thats more to do with the fact he's been far superior technically than everyone he's fought

My main critisism is he probably carries fights when he can finish them but that probably says more about his boxing brain in which he takes no chances,its hardly the worst fault to have,Mayweather has made a career out of it for the last 8 years,the main the thing is with Hughie is that he's young and he's plenty time on his side to improve and come good

Surprised David Haye hasnt popped up saying if he had 12 weeks he would be ready etc.

Wilders team know that his path may be destined to cross with Tyson Furys further down the line and beathing Hughie would just add to the the hype and revenue if or when this happened. It may be a sh1t match up but as far as money is concerned it may be a clever one.

Hughie will get done in a round or two. Doesn't have the power to keep Wilder away. His boxing skills aren't great and he keeps his right hand down way too low. As someone else said. Man vs boy really. Hughie needs a couple of years yet.

I would be surprised if the fight happened, but just imagine the piss taking if he won and beat Tyson to a world title!

As somebody said on the Twitter, why don't the Furys suggest Eddie Chambers as an opponent? - at least they would still earn out of it.

I don't see what Chambers gets out of his arrangement unless he is happy to be a (well paid?) sparring partner.

Hughie's shown potential but I wouldn't put him near Wilder's level yet, even considering the flaws that DW has shown. Hughie seems to lack punching power and physical strength, which leads me to believe that he could have trouble cracking Wilder's chin despite the latter's apparent fragility, and the opponents he's beaten have been very limited and unlike Wilder generally much smaller than himself. It was also only a few bouts ago that Danny Hughes gave him a good go, and that's not the type of thing that gives me much confidence that Hughie would best Wilder, who I think would probably be 16-0 (16) without a lost round against the opponents Hughie has beaten.

If he takes it, theres a 95% chance he gets smashed.

But so what? It's a shot and the WBC title and a chance at making history (if that's the case). If he loses, he's all the time in the world to rebuild.

With Hughie's evasive abilities I can actually see him making Wilder look quite clumsy at times and maybe making it to the halfway point.

The strength and power will show eventually though.
