"Let us start by stating Joseph Parker and his Camp..Are at no fault and we are not laying any blame...But saturdays fight ended in what we believe was an unintentional foul..The punch that landed at impact was on the top of Bowie Tupou head..Many people have stated that the punch was soft and question the effect..But the reason why in boxing punching is illegal on top of the head is for that very reason..As we stated before we are not accusing the Joseph Parker of intentional fouling..However we would like to show the facts..Social media has been accusing Bowie of a whole range of things..Anybody that saw the first 30 seconds will know that Tupou came to fight..Look at the glove of Parker in the pic above and see where it landed..On the top of the back part of Bowie Tupous head..Bowie trained hard for this fight and came to win..We believe the ending was not deliberate but certainly controversial..In boxing this is called an unintentional foul..Temple shots are legal..But top of the head is not.."
If you draw a line from behind your ears straight across the top of your head, that is the line that differentiates between a legal blow and a foul blow, as I said in an earlier post, listen for the very loud thud when he is hit with the right, it hit hard, as for goose, the name explains everything
But that thump was Parker's foot on the canvas wasn't it  :yay:

Oh and Soliman was only pretending his knee was injured

Dan Rafael, ESPN Senior Writer

Top-notch heavyweight prospect Joseph Parker knocked Bowie Tupou out cold -- face first -- with a sick shot on top of the head in just 63 seconds on Saturday in Parker’s home country of New Zealand.

On Monday, Duco Promotions announced his next fight as it plans to keep Parker busy and move him up the ladder.

The 23-year-old Parker (15-0, 13 KOs) will face former world title challenger and countryman Kali Meehan (42-5, 32 KOs), who said this will be his final fight, on Oct. 15 at Trusts Arena in Auckland, New Zealand.

It is a meeting of the future (Parker) against the past (Meehan) in a fight the New Zealand public has been interested in since Meehan won a lopsided decision against Shane Cameron, another New Zealand heavyweight, in November.

The replay say's it all.
We have all seen it and 80% here don't think there is anything questionable about the KO.

A legitimate 1 punch KO.

Williams standing upright falls face down to the canvas out cold.

IMO a dive.

He was crouching down 1/2 way to the canvas already the punch skims off the top of his head. You can hear the crowd booing. Not Parkers fault though.

Parker knocked Tupou out. It's time the small minority finding it hard to accept moved on.

Joseph Parker worth $3,550 per second to Invercargill's economy

http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/BU1508/S ... argill.htm?

Joseph Parker’s 63 second demolition of Australian Bowie Tupou a couple of weeks ago provided a significant boost to the Invercargill City economy according to estimates generated using Infometrics event impact calculator. The heavyweight boxing bout, hosted at Stadium Southland, attracted 1,447 out-of-town visitors to Invercargill, who collectively added $223,636 to the city’s GDP.

Infometrics Senior Economist, Benje Patterson says “this GDP boost amounts to $3,550 of value added to Invercargill’s economy for every second Joseph Parker was in the ring.

I think the knockout was legit but it told us absolutely nothing as to how good Parker really is.

Not that Bowie could have been used as a reliable yard stick given he is only at local standard.

It would have been better if Parker belted him around for a few rounds that what happened..
