Re: Your favorite/least favorite fighters?
I tend to like all fighters really, the ones that put on boring fight after boring fight I'll start to like less and less but I tend not to hold grudges (or be able to remember their names currently). Saying that these are the guys I'll root for slightly more than anyone else (slight UK bias acknowledged):
Gennady Golovkin
Kell Brook (Yorkshireman)
Orlando Salido (just like the way he fights)
Carl Frampton
Roman Gonzalez
Terence Crawford
Artur Beterbiev
Tyson Fury (followed him since the beginning of his career)
Amir Khan (maybe just 'cos everyone else hates him, ha. But is in good fights generally as well)
James DeGale
And ones I'll be more likely to root against:
Adonis Stevenson
Sergey Kovalev (enjoy watching him, strikes me as unlikeable though)
Floyd Mayweather (don't think he is any more of a heel than SRR or Duran for example, just think it will be interesting to see what happens when he finally loses)
Wladimir Klitschko (meh)
Gennady Golovkin
Kell Brook (Yorkshireman)

Favorite:
Wlad (my all-time #1)
Kovalev
Kudryashov
Lebedev
GGG
Lemieux
R Gonzalez
Provo
Christina Hammer (not just because I think she's attractive)
Least favorite:
Paul Smith (he seemed miserable when he posted here and can come across similarly on Twitter)
Jurgen Braehmer (a bottom-feeding nut with an extensive history of assault and other criminal activity)
Carl Froch (since he only just retired....a very good fighter and his willingness to face the best is laudable, but I could never warm to him and regularly found him grating)
Sometimes I also find myself rooting against someone due to their fans and/or over the top hype, even if I don't mind the fighter.

With the spelling of there names I get constantly confused.Chepppaaa wrote:why themPredatorHayds wrote:Does no-one else share my hatred of the Charno brothers?D ?
It's impossible to have a conversation about them. One of them needs to change their name.
In my household they are known as Boxing Charno (for the smooth boxing one) and Aggressive Charno ( the brawler).
Which one beat Vanes again??

I think your right and it was the smooth one.
Hopefully they see sense and one dyes his hair for the foreseeable future.

What's this "pretends to be" guff you're spouting?Freedom2013 wrote:

If they say they're Christian and worship a Christian god, read the bible and pray etc etc
they're Christian
They're maybe not very good at it, maybe they're not representing their faith very well, but they're fornicating Christian
You can't just distance a religion from people of that faith who continue to show it in a bad light, that's not how it works

1 Samuel 24:13 As the old saying goes, 'From evildoers come evil deeds,' so my hand will not touch you.
Proverbs 20:11 So is their conduct really pure and upright?
Luke 6:43 No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit.
James 2:18 Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.

That'll clear it all up then.

Re: Your favorite/least favorite fighters?
My list is pretty much the same, though I'd add Haye now that he's back.
Incidentally, I wonder what's going on with the Hammer. She is still training going by her Facebook, but she hasn't fought in a while, doesn't seem to have anything scheduled, and I'm not sure if she's with SES anymore. Her last two fights were a bit rough for her, so maybe she wanted a break? There's not exactly many viable opponents around her weight either.

I hope you're not claiming to be a Christian Freedom2013. Because throwing stones and making judgements would leave you open to accusations of hypocrisy.Freedom2013 wrote:http://biblehub.com/matthew/7-16.htmdavie wrote:What's this "pretends to be" guff you're spouting?

Anyone who entertains is always good value.
That safety first defensive boxing bores the shit out of me. I'd take Gatti over Mayweather every day of the week, and twice on Sunday.

If one talks the talk, he needs to walk the walk.
Re: Your favorite/least favorite fighters?
Mate, just about EVERY Christian who has ever existed -- if one holds them up to every standard laid down in scripture -- is a hypocrite.Freedom2013 wrote:No, I'm not.Taki... wrote:I hope you're not claiming to be a Christian Freedom2013. Even God is one of those 'do as I say, not as I do' people. Much as I'm no fan of either Ward or Fury religion is the last thing to pick them up on.
