The big money bout would surely be Frampton v Quigg, it needs to be made quickly if Carl is struggling at the weight. It'll be a hard bout for both men.

only if he can make the weight properly, no sense getting in the ring when he's struggling against a guy like Quigg just to keep other people happy. Ultimately he needs to look after himself first and foremost.

DeGale was for a vacant title fight that went to purse bids.
Brook was a mandatory that Hearn had no chance of winning purse bids for.
Burns got a big offer and didn't really have any options at home, plus Hearn doesn't give a shit about him so was happy for him to fight away from home.
McDonnell was another that got big money, although it was for a voluntary.
For Rose see Brook and DeGale.
Paul Smith same as Burns and McDonnell, by far the biggest payday he could have hoped for.
Callum Smith had a knockover job on an undercard.

I was just replying to that specific part of the original post. He didn't specify for a voluntary not against a big name.

I was pretty excited to finally see Frampton fight since i've been hearing so much about him on this site from comments across the pond. I must say, once again, i'm not impressed. I turn the TV on and the guy hits the canvas twice in the first round against a soft opponent. Frampton rallied back and won the fight but I'm not impressed. Physically, the guy's arms are a foot long on both sides and once he fights a worthy opponent, he'll get taken apart.

If he can't make the weight then good for him for not giving people what they want and endangering his own safety to keep everyone else happy. He's 28, got a relatively short career left and needs to avoid screwing that and long term health by risking it all just to satisfy other people. Anyway, no reason they can't fight at feather either.

"I can make 8st 10lbs again if I have to. It's never comfortable, it's never easy and it's a hard slog to do it."

For a start they are one of the most professional teams around and know exactly what they're doing with conditioning so that is worrying that they got it wrong. But the last comments suggest he is struggling with the weight but is willing to push to the limits to cut it. "if I have to" is the phrase that stands out. Suggests if he had a non title fight where he didn't have to focus on the weight, but still trained hard etc he'd not come in 8st10 or under.

Along with a couple of other fights I have recorded but yet to watch due to work commitments I finally caught up with Carl Frampton's recent bout with Alejandro Gonzalez.
Although Frampton was decked a couple of times he didn't look too shaken and performed quite well in an entertaining fight.
I was impressed how Frampton stuck to the task and didn't fold like a bad poker hand, Gonzalez wilted a bit as the fight progressed but had enough moments to test Frampton.
Overall I'd say Frampton came out of it fairly well and in terms of entertainment was more than above average, I'd watch him again.
