Darren Fifield was from around there, he was a good little boxer but retired about 20 years ago I'm pretty sure Darren beat a kid I used to know - Joel Forbes- in the junior ABA final at fly or light fly around '86.

I'm sure there was a good kd who boxed out of Abingdon Boxing Club as well (though iit might be Darren).
