Jack is really poor, Groves should be able to ko him.

Groves is chinny and gets into a brawl too easily. DeGale will knock him out, but Jack won't.

Re: Badou Jack (c) vs. George Groves - September 12th 2015
I expect Groves to win comfortably and probably by KO,Jack surprised me by beating Anthony Dirrell but i was dissapointed in Dirrell's performance that night,im not wanting to take anything away from Jack because he wanted it more against a fighter who was probably a better boxer than him so i'll give him his dues but George is mentally tough it seems to me and very independant guy so fighting away from home against the champ should hold no fears for him
Groves was poor last time out against Douglin, probably as bad as he's been since the Anderson fight years ago i thought,, but he found his way and got the KO,i thought he boxed very well against Rebrasse without really dazzling but he was dominant so im not buying into the mental scars of the Froch fights and as i said he seems quite tough mentally so i think he'll raise his game to become world champ
If Groves lands some of the solid shots he was landing on Sierra the last time he fought in the US then Badou will do well to stay on his feet and Groves is an improved more experienced fighter than he was back then
Groves KO early to mid

That right to finish Sierra was a belter and he needs one of those on the 12th before he runs out of gas himself.handsofstone wrote:I expect Groves to win comfortably and probably by KO,Jack surprised me by beating Anthony Dirrell but i was dissapointed in Dirrell's performance that night,im not wanting to take anything away from Jack because he wanted it more against a fighter who was probably a better boxer than him so i'll give him his dues but George is mentally tough it seems to me and very independant guy so fighting away from home against the champ should hold no fears for him

Really? They have met twice and Groves won both fights.

I think Degale Would win by KO in a close fight. George needs the big fights to perform i think.

I know who won the first fight, I watched it. That was then, before Groves was brutally KO'd. DeGale is a much better boxer than he was then.MarkMcBurney wrote:BS. Plus Degale won I thought. Neither guy did anything but Groves did less. I also think Degale wins the rematch all day long.
Groves should beat Jack but who knows. I don't think he is the same guy as before Froch.

I concur.Riddick Blowe wrote:I don't think he is the same guy as before Froch.
Although according to George, Froch only landed one punch in both fights.

90% think groves will win? Is he that much of a favourite? That would indicate a good betting proposition
Re: Badou Jack (c) vs. George Groves - September 12th 2015
Groves hasn't looked good since the Froch fights and I think those may have flattered him a bit too. I also thought that he lost to Degale, who went life and death with light-hitting Piotr Wilczewski in his next fight, was hurt more by him than by Groves, and clearly wasn't close to being the fighter he is today. I don't rate Jack highly but I don't much confidence in Groves and I wouldn't be surprised if he lost.

Re: Badou Jack (c) vs. George Groves - September 12th 2015
I fancy Groves to win this but I think he'll need to do so by stoppage to be sure of bringing the belt back given that the fight is on a Mayweather Promotions card. If he allows it to get close on the cards I could see him getting shafted here.

I'm taking Groves outright in this one.

Jack did beat Dirrell and the Edwards fight could have been just a case of him getting caught cold. I voted for Groves but he hasn't looked good since the first Froch fight.
50/50 fight IMO.

Re: Badou Jack (c) vs. George Groves - September 12th 2015
Groves looked dynamite for a while. I think he's trying too hard in fights since the defeats to Froch. He's at his best when he relaxes and let's it flow. Degale was similar after his defeat to Groves. He seemed too anxious to prove a point.
I hope George wins and sets up a rematch with Degale.

Sturm, Stielgltz, Andre Dirrel or Rubio next for Groves I reckon...
