the guy he fought in that clip there genuinely looks like he's never boxed before, abysmal balance and when he threw the odd shot it looked like he had zero punch technique, i saw much more competent fighters at an unlicensed show i went to last night.

Heffron can clearly fight, but if his temperament+mentality aren't on the same level as he is physically, then he's obviously limited in how far he'll go.

Good addition to a buzzing supermiddle scene in this country if he stays busy

Bear in mind he has been absent for 13 months. The guy was left with a broken jaw

yeah looked a clinical finish. Didn't know he'd been out that long.

Sounds like he's one to watch, hope he kicks on now :TU:

I like it!! He hurt him and didn't want to let him off the hook :box:

He's only 23 and looks the part already. His 1st 5 fights was within 5 months and the next 5 has been 4 years, anyone know why?

Olah should call a meeting with his manager and whoever was the matchmaker for that fight - when they are all in a room together he should lock the door and knock fornicate out of both of them, see how they like it.

Fights like that don't serve any purpose, it was a waste of time for Heffron and certainly not in Olahs best interests.

I wonder who promotes him? He seems to box in some pretty random locations.

Just looking through the other fella's BoxRec record. I was expecting to see a debutant. He looked like a chap that's picked up boxing a few months ago. Seems that he's a 4-time 'world' title challenger. Don't think I've ever seen such a heavy reminder of all the shitty titles in boxing.

Heard about him over the past few years that he is one to watch. Clearly has a killer instinct and at 23 not too late to really push on.

I only recognize four of the twenty people who've beaten Olah, and three of them stopped him in the first round. He's also defeated just one opponent with a winning record, and that guy was 1-0 at the time.

Heffron may be the goods, but regardless of how long he's been off, how quickly he won, or how badly damaged Olah's jaw was it's hard for me to get excited until he beats much better opposition. Moreover, given who he's beaten his #32 BoxRec ranking at 168 is one of the most inflated I recall seeing....I guess beating Mateo Damian Veron (who was admittedly a fine opponent for someone with only 8 fights) goes a long way.

Hopefully his career gets rolling and he takes some notable steps up soon.

I saw Mark on a Coldwell show & was impressed so have recently been looking out for what he is up to, but he disappeared. I think he needs to be more active ( he must know that himself) & increase the level of opposition until then its difficult to see what level he will get to.

It was refreshing to read the piece on the promotional ventures of Woodhouse in this months BM,he says the first 5 fights of his prospects careers will be gimme's then after that they'll be in 50/50 fights

Thats what its all about IMO,get a few fights under your belt then after say half a dozen fights,go in with fighters of similar records,im not into the whole idea of getting guys to 20-0 by just fighting guys with losing records

Boxing is the toughest of all sports and if a guy cant recover mentally if he gets KO'd early in his career then boxing is not the sport for him,no disgrace in being badly affected after getting beat up or sparked out but boxing shouldnt owe anyone a living IMHO

Shape up or ship out because its the fans who pay and most importantly fighters improve fighting stiffer competition, the sad thing is,the promoters who do stage 50/50 fights dont get the recognition they deserve because all the promoters with the clout and exposure are pretty much peas in pods

It's a very laudable approach from Woodhouse, but I think he'll soon realise that the figures just don't add up. 50/50s are expensive to promote.
