Khan vs Pacquiao 2016?

Post by Stuarty »

Just read on the Sky Sports app that Khan vs PAC is a real possibility for next year according to Bob Arum. Pacquiao is apparently taking the rest of the year off to recover so does this mean more opponents like Collazo, Algieri, Molina, Diaz for Khan while he waits around for PAC or will he have learned from the Mayweather situation and fight a top guy? I think most of us from Britain want to see the Brook fight made before one of them slip up and it loses its value. I hope this news doesn't hold things up but I suspect it will.

Sky sports are becoming the worst for Headline news about possible fights that may possibly happen in the future should this or that happen.

Khan should be proving himself the best of the contenders now but there's 2 many dangerous fights out there for him and he genuinely believes that only he should be getting the mayweather fight because the British Press report about him every time he mentions it.

Two leg affair in Dubai and Macau vs. Pacman.
Then onto Brook for 2 or 3 fights in the UK.
Decent retirement plan by Mr. Khan...

Khan pisses about for another year, taking fights that we don't care about because he 'might be fighting Pac.'

He doesn't fight Pac, he's wasted another year of his career, Khan moans on about it, he doesn't fight Brook.

This fight will happen, Pac and Arum are not like PBF they will give him the fight because they have already fought everyone in Arum's stable. They already had talks earlier this year but they both wanted PBF but now that is finished it makes sense for both now. Khan is desperate for a big defining fight but will Haymon allow this fight to happen? That's the only stumbling block.

Till then Khan will take another easy touch in November, only trouble is there aren't any soft touches available so he may have to take a risky fight against Guerrero, that's a no win situation as his performance will be compared to Thurman's.

Biggest stumbling block will no doubt be money. Can anyone realistically see Khan getting more than 15% of the split for this? Pacquiao is still one of the biggest stars of the sport and will want a purse that is standard for him. Can't see that leaving much left for Khan.

He should wait a couple of years for this fight as i'm sure he can drag Morales out of retirement, fight the winner of Mosley Margarito and then maybe when Pacquiao is definitely done and dusted he can clean up and be the real legend killer

dont think there would be any need for two fights with these guys.....khan would not make it out of the first fight.

Precisely - why does anyone think that Pacquaio and Arum are going to cut him some amazing deal - they don't have to.

They will probably fight a no-mark, angle for the mayweather rematch, lose again, and then Pacquaio I think will retire.
