Deciding Factor Why Cotto Beats Canelo

Post by bnovelist »

1.) Cotto has an higher ring IQ

2.) Their styles are similar but Cotto has that BOUNCE with his footwork.

3.) Cotto is a better finisher than Canelo

Cotto will beat up on Canelo like "Boy! Dont You Know I Am Your Elder? Bang Bang Bang! Let Me Beat That Red Head of Yours!"

This is a very dangerous fight for Canelo.

Cotto will put Canelo on his ass by the 6th round.

It'll be a high tempo bout and both will have their moments, I think Cotto will manage the pace better using his experience. I'm looking forward to this bout and think it'll be a very entertaining bout that Cotto will win.

Looks like a UD for Cotto, probably a KO.

If Bnov is picking Cotto, I am picking Canelo all day long, by UD or stoppage.

I'm going Canelo via mid to late stoppage.
Cotto only really beat a weight drained Geale and a Champ with no knees recently.
If Trout can outbox him then so can Canelo.

I'm confused, are you saying alverez has peaked and on the decline or he is still to peak at a later date, he is only 25 years old

All of these idiotic Cotto lovers still super impressed that he knocked out a 40 year old guy with two bad knees will once again remember who the real Miguel Cotto is. The most overrated boxer in history who has never won a big fight. I'm sure that Cotto will come out of the blocks hot, just like he did in the Margarito fights but around round 8, Canelo's relentless pressure will finally break through and Cotto will once again, lose that big fight and we will finally have a true Middleweight Champion eager to fight the best. Canelo vs GGG will be amazing and THE fight of the year in 2016.

I don't care who Cotto fought the last couple of fights he seems to be performing at a high level and has carried his power up in weight class. That being said, Canelo is a strong kid with some fast hands but somewhat flat footed in style. I have not seen Canelo ever rocked by anyone yet. But, I still like Cotto in this one.
