I have been trying to find out about Frankie Dailey's fights in France in 1912 when he was there with Frank Klaus. The two Frankie Dailey/Daley mentioned above seem to be one and the same.
I have problems with one of Dailey's fights in France. 1912-07-26 he had his second fight in France. His opponent Barrett is in the pre fight report in L'Aéro described as young and it is mentioned that he had recently met Marcel Thomas. In the pre fight report of the Thomas vs Barrett contest 1912-07-05 it is mentioned that Barrett is French, ”ex-champion amateur” and that he has defeated Castérès on points. In Boxrec Thomas is registered to have fought an old Englishman Joe Barrett on that date. He doesn't fit very well the description of Dailey's opponent. There is in Boxrec a ? Barrett (ID 694604) who is listed to have fought Rocca and Casteres but where little else seems to be known yet. Maybe he is the right choice for Dailey's opponent (and in that case also for Thomas) instead.
