Surely Mayweather will want to make it 50-0-0?
I see an "unretirement" after the Berto fight - surely Mayweather will want to make it 50-0-0?

You would think. Personally I think he will fight September 2016
Re: Surely Mayweather will want to make it 50-0-0?
I'd like to think it would happen but if he retires for a year he won't come back to the ring, Carl Froch did the same, he would have fought one more big name but after so long out you feel different and if that spark is gone which Mayweather has admitted he doesn't feel the same about boxing anymore, then it becomes hard if not impossible to get back into a boxing ring

Of course he bloody will.
Re: Surely Mayweather will want to make it 50-0-0?
I believe after Berto,,Mayweather will fight Broner. They will just shoulder roll each other to see who the judges like better. It's a buddy thing.. Both fighters leave unscathed and become buddy's again. 50-0 and Broner gets another loss..

I think Floyd does another 9 figure fight against the winner of Cotto/Canelo.
Floyd better hope it ain't Canelo because I don't see Floyd getting that decision NO MATTER WHAT.

Yes, I wouldn't be surprised to see Floyd challenge the winner of that fight for the Middleweight championship...... at a 152 catchweight.BAD INTENTIONS wrote:I think Floyd does another 9 figure fight against the winner of Cotto/Canelo.

Course he will. He's only saying this is his last fight so people will buy the PPV

Can't believe how bloody gullible people are. - How many times has Floyd 'retired' now?Marlo Stanfield wrote:Course he will. He's only saying this is his last fight so people will buy the PPV
Re: Surely Mayweather will want to make it 50-0-0?
I hope not, and hope he is done. It may depend on how well he does vs Berto and how much they will offer for Pac II. I don't think there is any possibility of him coming back vs anyone else.
Re: Surely Mayweather will want to make it 50-0-0?
I personally hope the thief is done for good. The old Floyd was a lot more fun to watch as sprinkled his offense in with his great defense and fought more of a crowd pleasing fight. The new OLD Floyd the last couple of years does everything he can not to get hit by hugging, running and ducking. His fights have been glorified slap fights in which Floyd's only offense comes at the 10 second knock to steal rounds. They have been brutal.
When was the last time Floyd hurt a guy in the ring? Was it Hatton? Ortiz took a dive like the pussy he is so i don't count him but could someone help me with that answer? It's tough to hurt a guy while on you bicycle the whole fight punching only 10 seconds of every round. Good riddance at 49-0. I don't need him to fight another club fighter to get to 50. Who cares.

Anyone reckon he'd fight GGG towards the end of next year if GGG beats Lemieux and then unifies against Canelo/Cotto?

The lifestyle that Floyd lives, the money he is constantly paying out.. I can't see him being able to retire without a massive lifestyle change. Even his promotions outfit, outside interests etc. must be peanuts compared to his fight purses.
The question for me is, how long can he push the PPV card? I'd guess only as long as he stays unbeaten...

I would have liked to see him fight someone fast like Khan, but i reckon if he fights after Berto, it will be Broner or possibly Cotto if he wins (Dont think he'll face Canelo)

Not sure how much is true but I heard that He can't beat Rocky Marciano record because Rocky Marciano record has been around for a long time and something to do with beating his record wouldn't be good because of something to do with the mafia not 100% but could be true to a certain extent who knows makes a little since though IMO

I'm afraid the above sentence, makes little or no sense. Is English your second language?GalenBadBoyBrown wrote:Not sure how much is true but I heard that He can't beat Rocky Marciano record because Rocky Marciano record has been around for a long time and something to do with beating his record wouldn't be good because of something to do with the mafia not 100% but could be true to a certain extent who knows makes a little since though IMO
