Beltran's and Ao's records should be changed

Post by KSTAT124 »

On August 13, Raymundo Beltran, who tested positive for the banned anabolic steroid Stanozolol following his second-round TKO of Takahiro Ao on May 1, was suspended by the NSAC for nine months, retroactive to May 1. The NSAC also was fined him $25,500, and changed his win over Ao to a No Contest. He also has to reimburse the NSAC for the costs of his post-fight tests and must supply a clean sample after his suspension in order to be re-licensed.

The May 1 "W" on Beltran's record and the May 1 "L" on Ao's should be changed.

Slightly off topic, but that punishment is pitiful. Really pathetic punishment.

Beltran's and Ao's records still show Ao losing to Beltran. As I wrote before, Beltran's PED use resulted in the bout's outcome being changed to a No Contest.

Please, for the sake of accuracy, change both fighters' records.

It's been 5 days since the result of Beltran-Ao was changed to a "No Contest" but the fighters' records still haven't been corrected.

If you need links, here's two:

We need an official addendum from NSAC. Posting every day won't help your case either... We now know about it, so, no need to post further on this one... :TU:

It's a good thing you waited. According to what is now posted on the NSAC's website, the result was changed to a No Decision:
