These two eras of light-heavyweights were one of the best in their division history. I want your pick which light-heavyweight era was the TRUE GOLDEN ERA. The 1940s or 1970s. If there's another era that you can come up with, point it out. Which one was the deepest

The 1940s light-heavys got Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore, Joey Maxim, Jimmy Bivins, Gus Lesnevich, Freddie Mills, Harold Johnson, Lloyd Marshall, etc, etc, etc.

Versus the 1970s 175-pounders: Michael Spinks, Matthew Saad Muhammad, John Conteh, Victor Galindez, Alvaro "Yaqui" Lopez, Marvin Johnson, Eddie Mustapha Muhammad, Bob Foster, etc, etc, etc.

Both very good eras. Fine examples of boxing history where the best fought the best. Id say 40s though.
