Stanislav Kashtanov vs Felix Valera

Post by handsofstone »

The only reason i post this match up on B&I is that its on allegedly this Sunday at 6pm and if its anything like the other shows from that way(Crimea) then it might be a cracker

I havent heard of either guy but had looking at their records Kashtanov(33-1,19KO) only loss was in a WBA(Regular) Super Middleweight title fight against Karoly Balzsay 4 years ago by SD but the rest of his CV is thin,Valera is 12-0(12KO) 10 in the first round,i didnt recognise anyone on his CV but it seems he carrys a bit of a dig,at least a some level anyway,,,,could be a good fight

Dmitry Sukhotsky and Dmitry Chudinov both on the card too but not against each other

Looking forward to a Sunday session actually,i usually go for a pint most Sunday's to watch the football but i'll just be getting a few cans in for this one :bag:

Chudinov Vs Luna Flores looks like a really good one. IIRC Murata struggled with the Mexican down the stretch.

Is Valera a late replacement for someone? I swear Kashtanov was supposed to be fighting someone else...

Also...what a great Sunday!

Kashtanov has been scheduled to fight Valera since the listings came up on allegedly a few weeks ago but i dont about if there was a change before that,i had a looka Flores record earlier and noticed he went 10 rounds with Murata, hopefully this cards like the Povetkin-Perez card with plenty of KO's

I cant see why Kashtanov can be WBA Interim champ at LHW,isnt the purpose of an Interim belt for when the full title's inactive?

Kovalev's one of the most active champs around

WBA don't need a reason to make someone a world champ.
WBA are becoming a bit of a joke.
They have Mcdonnell as regular champion when he's better than the inactive Super champ (I know he fought recently but first fight in ages)

Its a bit shitty with McDonnell holding that Regular strap,he's unlucky not to be holding IBF and WBO titles...bloody politix, the main thing is he's getting big fights and exposure in the US but i'd like to see him in with Payano or Yamanaka or even Caballero

It goes both ways.....look at the crappy opponent McDonnell got to fight for the vacant WBA belt he won.

TBH ive never considered McDonnell a champ since he won that WBA strap so the standard of opponent is a testiment to the standard of which the trinket is,,crap belt=crap opponent

It was the Thai fellow eh? Na Rachawat or something??? Cracking 1 punch KO if i remember right, left hook in the 10th

Good point, but I don't think that McD has had it too bad with politics despite some of the complaints I've seen. He wasn't overdue a title shot when he won the vacant IBF belt and considering the Thai's lack of size and ability he was almost handed the vacant WBA belt, which although not the organization's top title is still commonly billed as a world title and often comes with a shot at the top-tier champ. I think most fighters would love to have a comparable opportunity....

Nicolay Buzolin wins against Ilya Reutski after 4 either by decision or TKO

I think the ref or corner must have stopped it,was meant to be scheduled for 6

Love the Russian anthem...

Sukhotsky is better than he looked against Stevenson. Should win this one easily.

Yeah he's only been beat at the top level,im struggling to see why he's the opponent in this fight,is Satybaldiev local because his record isnt up too much?
