If he's going to be going so far as sexually assaulting females during televised press conferences, my normal desire to see him get his ass whipped in the ring ramps right up to a desire to see him get shanked in his MFn throat.
It's one thing to put your hands on your opponent, but it's a whole different thing to put your hands on his woman's ass.

Mayorga says the slap was staged and was Mosley's idea

You know, I thought the way Shane went after him quick enough to make real contact with no interference, he could have slept Mayorga (And probably hurt his hand also), but what contact he did make seemed a little weak for a guy who was behaving as if he were furious like most guys would be. And also, who has their woman right up there in the middle like that? Gin was Shane's manager and I don't even remember her being up in the middle of it like that. Maybe she was though.
Hmmm
I am now of the opinion that you are correct, and Mayorga isn't lying.
These guys both need something to help sell this fight, because it's a yawner.

Thanks!

I'm not so sure. Mundine beat Mosley and I'd pick Mayorga to beat Mundine. Hard to know what either man has left really though. The difference I think is that Mosley always trained hard and his training paid off. Mayorga hasn't - his weight has always been all over the place since he left Welter. I'm not sure Mosley will benefit as much from his training this time as he has in the past given his advancing age, whereas Mayorga is proven to be still able to be a handful when out of shape or unfocused.

At first, I rolled my eyes at this matchup as it just seemed like another desperate attempt from SSM to get some high beams on him one last time. But now, I think that this fight is kind of important for boxing. I think this fight is going to be horrible so don't get me wrong, but what if this fight ends up being a great fight to watch? Do you realize how many retired boxers will now reconsider rekindling some crazy fight from years ago? This might open up a whole new boxing segment of specialty fights to add some spice to the boxing schedule each year.

Think about how boring Boxing has been the last couple months. This sport should never have a lull in the action like this so why not sprinkle in some specialty fights with some 43 year old boxers for entertainment? I actually hope its a success even though I originally spoke out negatively about the matchup. Sure, why not.

Fair points, Mayorga could have more left than I'm guessing. I think Mundine beats him though at this stage in their careers.
Agree about the training, well said but maybe I've just bought into the Mosley hype seeing pictures of him in shape, and the sparring footage with the Porter's where he looked sharp :OhYes:

Mayorga probably can't remember most of his career.

Especially the Trinidad fight.
