James Toney's Pick: The Verdict is In!

Post by bnovelist »

Say what you want Toney knows how to pick these high profile fights he's right all the time I've been listening to his predictions over the years.

Here is the outcome of Cotto vs Canelo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdkJ0nO-dNI

Toney is on the money, Cotto is going to stop him. Cotto has too much class, left hook finds it's home on a suspect Mexican chin.

I think it's a 50/50 fight. Both have vulnerabilities.

Dude! James Toney is NEVER wrong with his predictions on big name fights! Whoever Toney pics to win just roll with it that's how insanely

accurate he has been....If he says Canelo is getting KNOCKED OUT then Canelo is getting KNOCKED OUT :KO:

In a way I hate that Canelo has pursued this fight man he is our future and this is the fight he could end up damaged like Fernando Vargas.

James Toney is always right, even more accurate with his picks than Atlas. He has those "Kiss of Death" type predictions. I've always hated when

he chooses the fighter I want to lose that particular fight I be like "Damn! Toney Said That Like He Meant It. I Hope He's Wrong!" Sure enough

Toney is always right!!!! I'm talking about going waay back to 2010 Toney is never wrong with his picks, if I'm unsure just youtube James Toney's

prediction. He's badass.

I'm picking Cotto to win this one too. Canelo has the advantages in power and durability, but I believe Cotto is the more skilled, has better stamina and will have enough power to keep Canelo from trying to walk him down.

I'm wavering between "it's a total pick-'em" and "this fight'll be the end of cotto's late renaissance." But the one result I have trouble seeing is the one under discussion here.

I disagree with Canelo's supposed advantages in power and durability; Cotto has KO'd a true MW and one who is significantly bigger than him on fight night, when has Canelo done that??

Durability, when have we ever seen Canelo take a beating? Who has he had to survive to prove his so called "durability"??

We have seen Cotto survive in many fights, being knocked down, getting back up, taking beating from the loaded gloves of MargoCHEATO and from a possibly over-juiced and highly suspect Manny Pacquiao and still come back and beat MargoCHEATO in a rematch by TKO nevertheless.

What big puncher has Canelo faced?? Most of the people he's faced he has been significantly bigger than in terms of muscle thickness/size not height and in this fight he will possess a big size difference once again.

Canelo won in stunning fashion in his last fight but let's not forget he fought James Kirkland and at times Canelo didn't look so good in that fight. Cotto is the far smarter boxer and will definately use that to his advantage. I think Cotto stops Canelo in 10 rounds. Cotto definately has the power to do it, he may not one shot him like Martinez vs PWill or anything but I think round after round the punches will take a toll and will get stopped.
