Looks like Derry Matthews is replacing Lee/Saunders. Probably best waiting until weigh in day and seeing who turns up before buying a ticket for this promoters events.

Saunders apparently cut. Ought to wear a headguard next time.

I'm sure Derry was originally meant to be on this show anyway. Perhaps his fight got moved to make way for lee/Saunders. I just looked through the wbo top ten at 160lbs to see if there were any names in there that fwank might line up for lee to make a defence against, Tommy Langford is at no.7 and Kerry hope is no.13 but those seem very unlikely challengers.

Fwank is turning cancelled main events into an art form. It can happen to any promoter but fwank is somehow able to have the same fight fall through more than once. It's not 'will the fight fall through?' It's how many times will it fall through.

Yes... he does seem to be the "unluckiest" promoter out there.

I used to buy into the bad luck theory but now I'm not sure.

Got to admit I'm starting to think there's more to it than just bad luck. Ridiculous how many times this seems to happen. No wonder he struggles to sell tickets.

Will Lee be defending on this bill anyway then?

I'd imagine Spike O'Sullivan would have no problems jumping in to replace Saunders. An all-Irish showdown for a "World Title".

A fight like that would sell thirty thousand tickets at Limerick. Oh, hang on, somebody tried that but twenty thousand fans got a virus and couldn't come or something like that.

Same here. I almost got a ticket for it, but decided to hold off just in case. Sounds like they are hoping to rearrange though.

It is being re-arranged for December. That is to say, the fight will again not happen in December.

I'd got the impression from a (I think) boxing news video he wasn't really in full on sparring and was just about to head out to Marbella for that side of thing?

In someways after getting stitched up with the Limerick thing it makes me think you reap what you sow, making up an illness there and then for the rearranged date getting what seems to be an actual injury. But I do feel for people who've bought tickets for this and ultimately I'm a boxing fan and this would/will be a cracking fight so I'd like to have seen it happen.

Yeah fair enough bad luck for FW then.

Wonder if he wore headguard or not ?

Tyson Fury doesn't wear one.
