How would Murray do against Groves/Degale?

Against Groves it's a good fight. I've seen no signs that Groves has improved since his De-Gale win.
If anything I'd pick Murray to land one on Groves. Groves doesn't take a punch well. I know Murray doesn't hit hard but either did Froch.

I would take him as a 50/50, maybe 60/40 in against either of them.

Martin is world level, he's big enough for SMW and he'd be a real real test for either. He's been in far harder tests and done admirably.

I'm confident if he fought both over a 6 month spell he'd have a belt round his waist at some point (assuming Groves beats Jack)

I would fancy both to beat GGG and AA to give GGG a very competitive fight. Cant see Murray being able to compete a smw.

Yeah I don't think him being a beast in a weak middle weight division translates to him being a beast at SMW with the big boys. We've seen it a few times with guys like Arthur Abraham moving up and being competitive but nowhere near dominant.

Groves has great hand speed and a good punch I think he would have a good chance, and I think degale would beat him comfortably. AA would be a good match up for GGG. Ideally I'd like to see a that or a catch weight fight with Alvarez.

Don't get me wrong I love watching triple G but he's not fighting guys with the physicality to bully him back because they don't exist in that division. Murray is the toughest guy he fought and the fight went a lot longer than most people expected.

GGG is significantly better at MW than AA was. As a champ AA had numerous lackluster performaces, failed to stop several challengers/was taken late by people like Elvin Ayala, and gave away more rounds to worse opposition. I see GGG as a more complete fighter and a bigger puncher too.

Murrays got good fundamentals and a big heart, but just lacks that spark which would push him to world class. That was at Middle, SMW just cant see him getting much beyond domestic level, which is pretty stacked in uk at the min. Think degale would beat him on points, should be comfortable, but degales tendency to switch off in middle rounds, no matter what level of opposition, would keep it competitive. Remember seeing him fight on channel 5 against a poor French lad, and a Georgian Middleweight- both times once his fast start faded he just got put under way too much pressure. Think Murray fight would be the same.

Think George has too much for him as well. See how he goes against Badou Jack, as hasn’t looked the same as pre-froch, but if he can rediscover the spark- I think he takes Murray out. Otherwise eh just outboxes him – much like the Rebrasse fight.

It would be an easy fight for Degale, he's come on very strong lately and in peak form! Groves would lose as I think we have seen the best of him against Froch and also getting KTFO has damaged him, so I'd take Murray to beat Groves by points.

I largely agree. I'd have it perhaps 60/40 in favour of Degale and 50/50 with Groves but both would be interesting fights. Ideally, I'd want him to take on AA (my gut says he stops AA) then if Grove gets his title the Britsh unification fights can begin.
