Got Kameda by a point, didn't score the knockdown though, poor call by the ref.

Kameda was never in it for me I only gave him 3 rounds. Quite a comfortable win for McDonnell in the end and a good performance.

118-112 McDonnell, I didn't score the knockdown, not sure whether I should have.

What is Malignaggi watching?

Kameda slipped, the judges will have scored it but Kameda slipping on the canvas doesn't give McDonnell a 10-8 round in my eyes.

Al Haymon must be pissed, that's twice he's brought this English bloke to lose to his guy and twice he's done him. Though I'm not quite sure why he's promoting a Japanese guy out of Mexico, in Texas

That interviewer had it away a bit lively. He didn't have a clue what McDonnell was on about.

Good job McDonnell, what an engine. How the feck does he make bantam?!?

RE: the knockdown. If a ref declares it, I score it. I always thought that was kind of the point (pun probably intended, I can't tell at this stage).

117-110 McDonnell, clear win for him and arguably his best performance IMO,it was competitive and Kameda matched him for single shots throughout but difference was that when McDonnell landed,Kameda backed up,when Tomoki landed,Jamie stood his ground and came firing back, all in all it was the basics that kept McDonnell in control, busier for the most part, cleaner more quality work and controlled ring centre,he just looked the guy in control and Kameda didnt have too much to trouble except some lovely single shots which McDonnell brushed off like beads of sweat

Good fight and a great win for McDonnell :salut:

If that punch didn't land he wouldn't have gone to the canvas. Legit knockdown if you ask me.

KD was legit for me,solid right hand made Kameda deck it,if anyones to blame it Corrona or whoever,i doubt Tomoki wouldve went over but who knows? Blame the sponsors or whoever made the canvas, dont blame the ref,he was correct

Edit-I didnt mean to quote myself :-?

:TU: Like I said, a flash knockdown; if the ref calls it you score it. Otherwise you're in the realms of scoring knockdowns that the ref missed. Then you start deducting points when the ref hasn't called it, but you saw it.

What then? Human sacrifice, dogs & cats living together... mass hysteria!

Great performance from McDonnell and Sunday night boxing really would be amazing for tv viewers if it caught on in thus country. I know fast Eddie has considered the idea but isnt so keen - real shame.

I've just caught up with the broadcast. Had McDonnell winning comfortably, Kameda was pretty poor and got backed up way too much, but credit to Jamie for making it look easy.

Rubio is crap.
