Is Middleweights ducking Curtis Stevens? Should he move up for 1 fight?

Post by skept »

Middleweight Curtis "ShowTime" Stevens hasn't fought in awhile, possibly a temporary freeze out in his division. Should he move up to 168 for one fight? He won numerous National titles at 178, so can he fight Light heavy for one fight? Vs whom? If anyone can do it, Mr. "Lightning in a bottle" can do it.

Why would anybody duck him? He brings nothing to the table. His career highlight is when he got flattened by GGG. He's nothing more than a gatekeeper. He lost nearly every round against Ndam who then got smashed to pieces by Lemieux.

I think the OP is his Cousin or something. Or maybe it's Curtis himself just chilling posting stuff about himself. I'd do the same exact thing.

I think people are trying to cut in line to fight Stevens, not duck him.

He's an exciting hitter alright but his limitations were highlighted by Golovkin, I tellyou this - I would watch Curtis v Andy Lee!

I would watch him against any top 20-25 fighter, but he really brings nothing to the table which is why they prefer other options.

P.S. If he wants to move, I would say cut 6 pounds of his body-builder muscles and move to 154.

I'm just posting what I feel. No cousin or friend.

It's boxing. Never personal.

Sorry, I have to mention it. I believe the first word of the question should be "Are", not "Is"
