I scored it 115-112 for McDonnell.
I watched it on CBS. Both Malignaggi and Hunter seemed very biased against the British boxer, and were misleading viewers with their commentary.
WTF at those McDonnell/Kameda scores?

McDonnell, a clear winner for me. I can't understand the scores that have Kameda winning.
I gave Kameda the first and had it 2-2 going into the 5th. From then on, I thought McDonnell took control pretty comfortably, pushing forward and landing a fair few decent jabs and shots. Kameda was the one trying to hold on 99% of the time when they did end up in a grapple. A clear victory but shows how people see fights different, I guess.

I'm probably not the best judge, my stream wasn't top notch. I watched it on mute as I was in bed with the lass. I found it a difficult one to score, but had it 115-112 McD.

I thought it was gonna be called a draw. Announcing team was grossly for Kameda from the first round on. Ignored most punches McDonnell landed. Virgil Hunter is a dynamite trainer but clearly only likes certain fighters when he is announcing. Exciting fight. Honestly they could do it again. Both of their fights were dynamite. Tons of punches, overall good "D" and great energy all the way through. Really should have been main event!

Exactly same score as meBoxing Prospect wrote:Had it 117-111 McDonnel. Closest I could see it was 114-11 McDonnell. Cannot understand Kameda winner

I had it 115-114 McDonnell.
Close fight with lots of close rounds.
People who prefer one style over another can score a lot of the rounds for one guy and make it seem like he dominated.

True, there's been a lot of times where ive been watching a close fight but i just prefer one of the guys work and all the rounds follow a similar pattern and i almost fell guilty for scoring yet another round against the other guy because i know my score's gonna look harsh on him but you've gotta be true to your self and dont let bias, favouritism or being the odd one out get in the way of itHorse wrote:I had it 115-114 McDonnell.
