galento TKO 1 wepner- galento was far better than wepner who was a human punching bag

Galento easily. He beat some good men when they could still fight. Wepner didn't.

I agree...Galento could actually fight pretty well. Maybe not a first round knockout, but I could very easily see Galento landing that big left hook, putting Wepner's lights out sometime before the fifth round.

Too bad Wepner was such a defensive invalid. At 6-feet 5-inches he'd have such a height and reach advantage, there ought to be no way Galento should win this one.

But, since even I could probably manage to hit Wepner a few times, I figure Galento would have an easy time with him. You're underestimating Wepner's ability to take shots, though, if you really believe Galento TKO1.

Liston just about tore the hide off Wepner's face, but Wepner still lasted 10 rounds.
