This diary would be an interesting read, to what he has done over the years when training for his fights. I wonder if he will ever let it anyone see it? Be good to see his progression from his early fights to his last?

most likely more than one diary. He's probably got a few of them in a little shoe box somewhere. Wonderful autobiography Carl Froch has - he's even playing the arrogant so and so in the jacket cover - I almost put it back down, but his book is anything but like this persona he puts across. Really good read. His thoughts on Terry Edwards were interesting.

I know lots of guys who still keep journals and training logs. Invaluable to see where to manipulate food for body composition changes, fat loss, weight changes. Through seeing what has been done before, you can play with carbs and cals. DItto training. Although my experience is with weights, I have all my sessions recorded and easily checkable going back 7 years. So useful to see progression, what was working at what time to correlate that a bodypart was particularly good at a certain time compared to now, so I can then see what I was doing to that bodypart at that time.

Not the same as boxing but I imagine there are similarities as they are hard consistent trainers and there will be certain threads that are the same throughout training guys.

I've never really thought of Froch as having a great style - hence he got punched a lot, but he must have such a winning mentality - an ability/ determination to prevail. He spent several years boxing with the back of his knee (ACL) - at least I think that's where it is, missing! It was only went he went to get it checked out they discovered it wasn't there, he'd snapped it playing 5-aside and not realised. His ability to withstand injury and nurse himself better, yet stay at the top of the sport is very impressive. Super fighter.
