fornicate people with THAT logic. I'd rather see a well matched bout between two C tier guys than a 90-10 type bout. The co-feature on this particular show (Luna Vs Roas) was ACTUALLY a really good match up between two guys who were well matched (despite what the records said), likewise bouts like Higa Vs Kongfah (where two prospects faced off) or Zoda Vs Petchchorhae were brilliant.SenorPipino wrote:There's plenty of free boxing on TV these days, and as usual, many of you are squawking because it's not major PPV quality or even a trumpeted HBO-like match up.
Just be grateful we're seeing so many current outstanding boxers on a regular basis, whether or not the bouts are fully competitive.
When you're paying $100 to see a quality fight and don't get it (see Mayweather-Pacquiao) then you can complain. But until then remember---these PBC fights don't cost you anything so beggars can't be choosers.
We don't ask for "PPV quality" bouts on free TV, just competitive match ups.
I'd rather watch stuff like Dave Ryan Vs John Wayne Hibbert, Rex Tso Vs Michael Enriquez or Jorge Cota Vs Yudel Johnson than any of these PBC headline bouts.
When PBC gets it right (Glowacki Vs Hick, McDonnell Vs Kameda, Santa Cruz Vs Mares) they get it really right, but it seems to be a case of throw enough shit at the wall and some of it will stick as opposed to any coherent thinking about the match ups.
