I couldn't remember if he took out the Londoner at West Ham before or after Klitschko. I knew he had a bad shoulder but all the other carry-ons and cancellations I tend not to take much notice of because you always get one party saying "it was him" and the other party saying "No, it was him"...and I think unless you're a fly on the wall you don't know what to believe.
To listen to somebody like Tyson Fury - who I quite like actually - you'd think that every single no-show in history was a shaft, a con and no "proper fighting man" would ever not fight ...etc...etc...
I'm not a fan of David Haye really, but I did enjoy his fight against Fragomeni. Both fighters put on a great show in that fight and left it all in the ring.
He just needs to announce his next fight, his opponent & where it will take place, then we can all not buy any tickets for it, then, for once, he just needs to actually show up for the fight & win it.
It's better to actually fight than to say repeatedly you're going to & then not do it.

It was four years ago. Three years ago he was blowing after five against a crap Del. And he got the fight dropped from 12 to 10.

Well it was over 4 years ago since he lost to Wlad.
And only one fight since then against Chisora over 3 years ago.
Anyone planning a comeback who has let their fans down before go and fight don t announce that comeback and keep it quiet and fight someone worthy do that fight first then your fans might.get behind you after you have restored their trust. Actions speak louder than words. He does not need to do it and I doubt he will. Naz I personly wish had come back with ingle and avenged his loss. Bit like Tyson without Cus.

As a 30 something year old man who's been out of combat sports with various injuries, I still entertain the idea of getting back in the gym and fighting again. If only I had the platform Haye has, and if only I'd have achieved what Haye had achieved in the past. But truth be told, I'm a good couple of pounds over my fighting weight, and I have the fear (as I'm sure Haye does) that younger lads who'd I have bashed in my youth will wipe the floor with me now... There doesn't seem to be any point. I understand why he's saying this, but he's done. If he comes back, it's as a stepping stone and we'll all want him to lose. He has squandered any good will.
There was a time, after Calzaghe and Hatton, when it was all Froch and Haye with British fans, with Haye probably bringing the most support. Froch did everything asked of him, win or lose, and will be remembered much more fondly despite Haye's world titles in two different weight classes. Haye took the piss. His time is gone. He blew it. At this stage, if he fought Dillian Whyte, Let alone Fury or Joshua, I'd be supporting Dillian. I say this as somebody who supported Haye from his Cruiser weight days. Does anybody disagree?

Why come back and risk losing against someone who you would have smashed to bits in your prime?

Indeed, I think it's a last roll of the dice. Haye's been out of action quite a while, but he's much more experienced than Joshua. I'm not sure though that Haye could stand up to the early onslaught.
I'm not sure Joshua's people would want it, it's a major risk for a young fighter to take on a massive puncher like Haye, and if he lost, it would be a bit of a disaster.
Joshua should aim for Fury before Haye in my view. He'd make a lot of money against Fury and it would be an eady win. Haye, if healthy, would beat him inside five.
Joshua definitely has other options. Haye would probably be keen to get the fight sooner rather than later, whislt Joshua is still relatively green - if I were Joshua's team, I'd tell Haye to get in line, and get another 3-4 fights under the belt. I suspect if that were the case, Haye will lose interest, as he's not going to have any marking time fights.

For what its worth, I'm not saying a prime Haye smashes a prime Joshua to bits. We have yet to see what a prime Joshua is capable of. I was talking more Fury.
Maybe I've misudged Haye's chat, and he is serious. If so, the yeah, Joshua makes sense. So would Fury. Not sure either would be happy to accomodate Haye though. Joshua has big backing, "needs" nobody and Fury would only consider it if he loses to Wlad I reckon.
