Since turning pro 96' how outrageous now just think about this for a second. To stay in shape for every damn fight spanning 20yrs never losing.
His mindset is of a 110yr old shaolin monk inside the body of a 38yr old, his mindset is the same as Micheal Jordan as to NBA. The mindset.
What I feel really hurt Roy Jones Jr was that he didn't have any dance partners to help to do huge numbers! Floyd had Corrales, Gatti, Oscar,
Marquez, Hatton, Cotto, MOsely, Canelo, Manny, etc.. Roy had NOBODY. No household names to fight in his peak years and this is what really
hurt his legacy.

In the case of Berto I'd say he sank to the occasion.
Re: Floyd Rises To The Occasion EVERY DAMN FIGHT!
The only names of historical significant who RJJ beat in or reasonably close to their prime years were Hopkins (who hadn't peaked) & Toney (weight drained). The likes of McCallum and Trinidad were well past their best.
RJJ definitely didn't have as many Hall of Famers as Floyd, but there were other guys he could have fought who could have enhanced his legacy, including the likes of British/Irish fivesome Benn/Collins/Watson/Eubank/Calzaghe, and most notably Michalczewski.

dessie mitcheson was the only one to rise to the occasion in this event. everyone else failed miserably. all roads lead to dessie
Re: Floyd Rises To The Occasion EVERY DAMN FIGHT!
must admit theres a lot of impressive names on floyds resume

Aside from the home cooking he gets in every fight with his own personal ref and judge at MGM and the fact that he doesn't have to follow his own rules in regards to PEDS and supplement IV's that his opponents do, he has quite the resume and skills.
Not even close to TBE but he's in the top 20. That's all that i'll give him.
