GGG is nowhere near that level, it goes to Pacquiao by default because Rigo doesn't even get a chance to be on that level based on the comp he has been fighting lately.Chepppaaa wrote:i know everybody gonne say ggg
but the most technicle, physicly best, overly all around best boxer in the world is rigondeaux, no doubt
So who is P4P #1 now then??

Wlad. Fought top level opposition made them look average and had a 10 year reign.

And your name is 49-0. Floyd fans are known to be GGG haters. Nowhere near that level? Tell me a single guy that defeats him (Yea bring up Andre ward) Because only the former #2 p4p guy has a chance. Lackeos wrote:Andre Ward would also be a reasonable new #1. He dominated Chad Dawson, Carl Froch, Mikkel Kessler, and Arthur Abraham. A lot the other fighters that people are nominating barely have 1 scalp that's as good as Carl Froch, let alone several others of good quality. I think people are merely biased against Ward because of his inactivity, his style, and his alias.
The first of those objections shouldn't be lumped in with the unreasonable ones. Ward's Froch scalp has dust on it -- it happened one month after Pac-Marquez III. Bute was still unbeaten. Hopkins was still the top ranked light heavy, Broner was still unbeaten at super feather -- it was just not now, in other words. As someone else said, make Ward earn that top spot by showing he can still win that way at world class level.

Looks like they just did that on BoxRec. Wlad is numero uno. GGG is number two.PsychoGamerTwo wrote:"Here's a step-by-step guide to how you decide on the new P4P #1 now that Floyd Mayweather has retired:

I don't want to make a potential (but seemingly unlikely) new poster uncomfortable, but what are the odds that Mr. 49&0 is yet another incarnation of a certain poster who was recently banned...again...Aaronide_ger wrote:And your name is 49-0. So far his only posts have been about Floyd and Wilder...
Re: So who is P4P #1 now then??
GGG's been #1 for years. He's the full package. Floyd was the full package around the time he smoked Gatti. Pacquiao became #1 when smoked Cotto, again, the full package. Ward then took over when he beat Froch, the full package. This is Golovkins time now. Sickening puncher, finisher, outstanding punch repotoire.
Re: So who is P4P #1 now then??
In 6 months, Floyd will start active training for his next bout. At the same time, some journalists will be saying how we are all missing him, so he will return for his "very last" fight to make us all happy

Re: So who is P4P #1 now then??
Definitely Rigo, then maybe Ward or Gonzalez

Why have Boxrec removed Floyd? Thought they stayed in the rankings for a year after his last bout?
I'm quite confident there's more chance of Floyd fighting than Jermain Taylor escaping his mental hospital for a quick 6 rounder.

Because he has officially retired.
If you make an announcement saying you've retired, then you are no longer an active fighter.
