Wladimir Klitschko is P4P #1

Post by Freedom2013 »

The fair and objective BoxRec computer, without the pro-American bias of most of the high-profile sportswriters, now has Wladimir Klitschko as P4P #1.

(Floyd Mayweather has officially retired).

And if you want to go by those lame ratings. Then Floyd is the #7 all time p4p.

Floyd will be dropped lower, if the Pacquiao win is changed to a no-contest due to Floyd's illegal IV injection.

I wouldn't be surprised if Floyd used such things in many other fights as well, or even pretty much his entire carreer.

It's not surprising to me that now he got cought he suddenly quits the league.

There are many fighters that fought a lot longer as just till the age of 40.

and if you take all bias out of the picture,
this case can be made. like it or not the
boxrec ratings are among the best in the
sport on an overall basis.

Bit premature taking Floyd out.
Thought they stayed in for a year?

Surely more chance of Floyd fighting again than Jermaine Taylor escaping from the mental hospital for a quick 6 rounder.

Vitali Klitschko (and his younger brother soon probably as well), George Foreman, Evander Holyfield, Tony Thompson, Antonio Tarver, Amir Mansour, Cornelius Bundrage, Leonard Bundu, Bernard Hopkins.

And TBH I still see Shannon Briggs be able to floor Wilder if he got the chance.

This guy is clearly either mentally handicapped or a windup merchant. I'll be laughing off his comments from now on.

If you measure p4p in terms of fighting and beating the best in his division in dominant fashion, Wlad has done it better than any other champ in the last decade.

If you factor in the quality of said opposition, however highly ranked, Wlad should be nowhere near the top of a p4p list.

You ask me 10 of them, then you get guys like them.
Thompson only went KO against Klitschko in his entire life.

All of the names I named are inside the top 20 of their league or have been at that age and you know it or should know it.

If I ask you to name 10 good boxers you will probably name a bunch that had a short peak or can be handled by... Well me for example.
If you disagree, then name me 10.

Mansour was unbeaten at the age of 40, Thompson was only defeaded by two persons ever at that age, one of them still is the rank 1.

And let's get real, who was Floyd Mayweather Jr his best opponend ever?

..I tend to believe that the longevity of his reign should also be a factor..

I agree. Maintaining a certain level of performance shows incredible determination and discipline.
