Opinions on his performance Saturday? Beat fair and square but I don't think he did himself much harm. High level of skill on show for an English title fight. Do ya reckon Eddie will have him back on Sky? Obviously not too many options domestically at Flyweight. Din for the commonwealth if he wins next month?

Louis boxed well but was a move behind all night, he kept chasing and trying and was just outboxed by a very gifted fighter in Edwards. I felt very old when I realised I'd watched his dad box and read about him often in Boxing News. Charlie Edwards is on the way up but Louis Norman can come again, I was pretty impressed with both.

Yeah exactly right. Some of the movement on show was really good to watch. Interesting to see what Louis does next.

I was disappointed in him. to much posing and wild shots. I know Edwards boxed really well but norman never put enough punches together he looked like he was hoping for one shot to land. great performance by Edwards. norman young enough to come again and their is talent to work with. strange his dad trains him but Clifton Mitchel is main man on fight night

Genuinely think you're either MASSIVELY over-rating the British guys or really unaware of how tough those particular divisions are right now (and are going to be over the next few years). Deepest divisions in the sport right now with only really the Cruiserweight division having any argument. We have a nice batch who could put on some good fights with each other by all means, but on the world stage I really think our guys will struggle to make any sort of a dent.

At Flyweight currently there is (all under 30)-
Gonzalez (28), Estrada (25), Ioka (26), Eto (27), Tete (unsure on age but he's supposedly younger than 27 year old Zolani Tete), Yodmongkol (24), Saludar (26), Alvarez (25), Zoda (18), Stamp (17), Higa (20), Ben Mananquil (23), Giemel Magramo (20), Mcwilliams Arroyo (29), John Riel Casimero (25)

Above 30 you have Reveco, Yaegashi, Ruenroeng, Viloria, Mthalane, Kogawa,

So not only is the division strong right now but it's got so much emerging talent that it's going to be deep for the next 5 or 6 years

Like wise at Super Flyweight (again all under 30)-
Naoya Inoue (22), Carlos Cuadras (27), Zolani Tete (27), McJoe Arroyo (29), Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (28), David Sanchez (23), Sho Ishida (23), Takuma Inoue (19), Arhtur Villanueva (26), Aston Palicte (24), Michael Dasmarinas (23), Jerwin Ancajs (23), Jonas Sultan (23), Masayoshi Hashizume (21)

The Brits might be young but so are a lot of emerging fighters.

And I'm ignoring guys who have spoken about, or will likely, move up in the coming years like Donnie Nietes, Pedro Guevara, Javier Mendoza, Randy Petalcorin and Felix Alvarado.

Maybe I'm under-rating the Brits but we did see what happened when Butler faced a world class Super Flyweight.

Butler already has, Yafai I'm sure will and will win one.
Satchell has been close to a world title fight already.
There's enough money with the Uk promoters to get Mexicans or South Africans here as proven with Tete.
