I am not totally convinced in quality of scales they are using for preliminary weigh-ins. Geale's weights before the Cotto fight, for example, looked really suspicious.

They confirmed that the 158 was a mistake.
And Geale never posted (158 Lb at 30 day weight in) While both Golovkin and Lemieux did with their Verified Accounts in twitter ..

3G isn't a big middleweight, actually he's a small one. But Floyd's already moved 5 weights, GGG has moved none.
GGG is actually a Pro NINE years, Turned pro at 24 years old, Whereas floyd is a pro for NINETEEN years and is 38 years old.. 10 years of pro difference + When Floyd started his career he was 19 years old at 130, where he is now? 147-154. When Golovkin was 19 years old he was 140.. where is he now?????? 160 yea right, thats 20 pounds of difference in 14 years, while after 19 years Floyd got 17-24 Pounds of difference.... Is it THAT hard to understand it?

GGG started his professional career much later. He moved weights in amateurs. Also, at lower weight classes, moving up is almost a rule. Not so for heavier guys.
GGG's weight at the 30 day check point is really surprising to me. I knew that he's never had any real issues making weight before but being this low with so much time left before weigh ins is puzzling to me. Guys like Rios and Maidana weigh more than 165lbs 5 weeks away from fight night and they are fighting at 147.
Well, we know why Lemieux is speaking out about Cotto's catchweight BS at 155 because he knows that he'll never make it down to 155. Lemieux barely squeaked by the 10% allowance. Not a good sign for the underdog. 30 days is not a long time to lose that kind of weight and still be fresh. I'm sure this news will jump the line in Vegas a bit.

I may have been right. Golovkin's weight increased by half a pound. Of course, it is possible that a couple months ago, Golovkin was working on cutting weight for potential Floyd fight. It is also possible that he was dressed for today's weigh-in. But most likely, the scales being used are not very accurate.

The fact that he still has good amounts of water inside him and has trained these whole 23 days for everything except CUTTING weight because he was also on point dont tell a single thing to you? He also did the same with Rubio, He was 165 30 days out, and AGAIN 165 7 days out...
He could be 161-162 if he did weight cut training but he chose not to because he easily makes weight.
