Hogan's Irish, Aussies are almost as bad as the Germans when it comes to claiming foreign fighters as their own.Redback Rasta wrote:Sauerland Event has announced WBA interim super welterweight champion “Golden Jack” Culcay will make his first title defense against undefeated Australian Dennis “Hurricane” Hogan (22-0-1) on September 26th at the Max Schmeling Halle in Berlin, Germany.

"Undefeated Australian Dennis “Hurricane” Hogan" were the words quoted straight from the Fightnews article - see shortcut below - and I doubt very much they were written by an Australianexpe wrote:Hogan's Irish, Aussies are almost as bad as the Germans when it comes to claiming foreign fighters as their own.Redback Rasta wrote:Sauerland Event has announced WBA interim super welterweight champion “Golden Jack” Culcay will make his first title defense against undefeated Australian Dennis “Hurricane” Hogan (22-0-1) on September 26th at the Max Schmeling Halle in Berlin, Germany.

Further to the postponement of Dennis Hogan vs Jack Culcay for the interim WBA title:
Official statement from German Promoters :
Team Sauerland has been forced to postpone their special 35th Anniversary ‘Next Generation’ event on September 26 at the Max Schmeling Halle in Berlin, Germany.
Following the withdrawal of Tyron Zeuge, undercard fighter Stefan Haertel is now also out with injury, and the decision has been made to push the show back to a later date.
‘’It’s a pity for the boxers who have been training hard in preparation for this event,’’ said Sauerland Event’s General Manager, Frederick Ness. ‘’But following the injuries to Tyron Zeuge and Stefan Haertel, and the withdrawal of the opponents for Kubrat Puelev and Enrico Koelling, we have decided to postpone the event.
‘’We want our audience to enjoy not only a world-class main event but also a high-quality undercard. This is what Team Sauerland is known for and this is what we will continue to deliver. Unfortunately due to the circumstances, this was not possible for September 26.’’
A new date for the ‘Next Generation’ show will be announced. Ticket refunds are available at the point of purchase.
