'yeah, get the Jews on board... and while we're at it focussing on diaspora communities with a strong tradition of trade & commerce, lets see if we can attract the Armenians and the Parsees, too....'
Re: John Fury Classic - Get the Jews on board
Why has my comment about John Fury's ignorant , racist rant been banned?

Come on mate you know the rules - saying he is racist is in itself racist. That's just how it works.tedley wrote:Why has my comment about John Fury's ignorant , racist rant been banned?
Re: John Fury Classic - Get the Jews on board
the article in this week's boxing news suggests he doesnt give a fk about the fight and that he was way overweight when he started training. it's not looking good.
Re: John Fury Classic - Get the Jews on board
Watching the videos on YouTube of the Fury training methods you can see why he loses heart. I don't know about the boxing training but the strength and conditioning part I honestly think they have no idea what they're doing. I don't know why they're doing some of the stuff they show them doing and I don't think they know either. When you see other heavyweight camps, like Haye's and Wladamir's, you can see the training they are doing is specific and has a point. Then you look at Fury and he is on the f*cking leg extension machine which has no practical benefit to a boxer at all. It makes sense that Fury has the physique he does because he's doing isolation rather than compound. I've never seen him doing a squat with a bar on his back, which would give him the size and shape Wlad has. His much maligned deadlift technique is f*cking awful so I bet he doesn't do many of them either. I would like him to win but I will be amazed if he does.veriton wrote:the article in this week's boxing news suggests he doesnt give a fk about the fight and that he was way overweight when he started training. it's not looking good.

Tyson Fury drinking game: stick any ifilm TV Tyson Fury interview on YouTube. Every time Fury says 'Listen' you have to down three fingers of your beer.
You will be destroyed. Don't do it with shots. Shane Macgowan would be dead.

Re: John Fury Classic - Get the Jews on board
You'll not see Wlad squatting heavy either. The staunch advocates of heavy back squatting are all about 5 foot five. Fury would need to be about 30 stone before he could get his leverages working for him.clopixolacuphase wrote:Watching the videos on YouTube of the Fury training methods you can see why he loses heart. Re: John Fury Classic - Get the Jews on board
Do not touch on the deadlifts, I once mentioned it here and got ripped to shreds lol
I heard an interview on Bunce podcast with Peter saying he was four stone overweight at the start of camp. That is bloody ridiculous, more time spent knocking the fat off than actually conditioning, working on tactics and getting sharp.

Re: John Fury Classic - Get the Jews on board
He must surely been exaggerating? 4 stones over is ridiculous, I'm not that overweight and it's 25 years since I did much or watched what I ate.tobyh5 wrote:Do not touch on the deadlifts, I once mentioned it here and got ripped to shreds lol

Re: John Fury Classic - Get the Jews on board
the boxing news story had a similar figure and it said cos he had lost so much weight so fast he had got sick and couldnt train for a bit. its unbelievable really....he's going to have to try and KO wlad quickly because it doesnt sound like he's going to be able to do 12 at a decent pace. i know the furys love to trade on the gypsy life thing but this is getting ridiculous for a fight of this magnitude.
Re: John Fury Classic - Get the Jews on board
Four stones is too much but remember Fury is 6"9 and in shape at 18 stone 4 stone for him is a lot less percentage wise than it is for most people.
Re: John Fury Classic - Get the Jews on board
I didn't say that he'd be squatting heavy. But you can see that Wladamir has that V shape that shows he has a strong back and core, and you get that from compound exercises like squats, lunges and yeah, dare I mention it, the infamous Fury deadlift. It's not about lifting heavy necessarily but doing those exercises will make you strong and if you are going to fight Wladamir you need to be strong because Wladamir is physically very strong. The weights you see Fury doing he's mostly doing isolation so it's just a waste of time. I've seen him doing the barbell shoulder press seated, and I don't see the point of that for him other than to give him bigger shoulders. If he was doing it standing then he'd actually be getting stronger because then he's working everything, but sitting with your back up against a bench you're taking out your core and your back and your legs and it's just your shoulders and your arms working. And that really shows in his physique. Those that say he doesn't look like an athlete are right, because he looks like the bloke down the gym that doesn't really know what he's doing. It's the same with the leg extension. Do squats and you don't have to be doing massive weights it's about activating your core. Do boxers need to have massive thighs? I don't think so... But doing the leg extension machine is just building up your thighs and they're just getting strong going in one direction. There's no value to it other than to put on cosmetic muscle, and to be honest if that's what they're going for leg machines especially aren't going to do that. You want strong legs you are going to have to squat. And don't get me started on the Fury core training. There's a video of that of them all doing circuits and it is so f*cking painful... It must be a joke.Sklar wrote:You'll not see Wlad squatting heavy either. The staunch advocates of heavy back squatting are all about 5 foot five. Honestly bro do you even lift? (In before anybody else says it.)
Re: John Fury Classic - Get the Jews on board
Without his impressive workrate he really has nothing against Wlad. What a waste.
Re: John Fury Classic - Get the Jews on board
This started out a thread about John Fury's usual traveller "we are all tough unbeatable" crap, on IFLM
It WAS a racist rant due to the OP posting the link.
If I have upset any delicate inoffensive posters apologies, but my views on "travellers" still stand

"i did five years in prison and never took an aspirin"
the furys are too far up ther own backsides to take this fight seriously. they are the sort of people who would enter an F1 race, then turn up on the grid with a gypsy horse and trap saying it was unbeatable.

And Hatton speaks about himself in the third person, as do loads of others, Munroe says 'obviously' every other word, Bruno "you know what I mean" and Froch 'warrior'. You could get just as drunk using those lot, worse if you choose Munroe.jessi wrote:Billy joe Saunders is worse, must be a gypsy thing !clopixolacuphase wrote:Tyson Fury drinking game: stick any ifilm TV Tyson Fury interview on YouTube.
