If you wanna see bias look closer to home, namely kbb, senor pino and the rest.

Only an overhyped British domestic scrub could possibly lose as a -20000 favorite to a cab driver.

I thought Saunders had a very strange stance, his feet seemed very wide and he seemed to be leaning forward, my immediate thought was if he was in against a puncher he could walk onto 1. Very strange performance.

Sean Dodd was outstanding had the perfect game plan against a fighter like Buckland and executed it easily. Got to admit I didn't give him much chance as he was stepping up from super featherweight too.

Stephen Smith looked as sharp as i've ever seen him and showed tremendous power and them body shots were rib breakers. Great performance but I watched Pedraza's last fight and he looks quite the prospect, big big ask to win the world title.

You're not showing any respect to the man who took the bout, travelled to England and stuck out the early rounds when he was getting pasted and come through to win. Saunders wasn't fit for the distance and was found out but Garrido needs considerable credit.

Saunders was blowing after the first round. Clearly been cutting corners in his preparation. Hearn fed him to the wolves there.
The wolves???? He fought a TRASHMAN.

He just stinks and is a loser.
:TU: Saunders was 1/200 to win.
-20000 favorite apparently = getting thrown to the wolves. The UK bias knows no bounds.

-20000! Could possibly be biggest "upset" in boxing history. I struggle to think of a bigger dog ever cashing.
Stop being so silly. Calm down and stop exaggerating.

I thought Smith looked decent but Boschiero looked woeful, he couldn't even do the basics properly. No jab, wild telegraphed punches and no clear plan.

I hope Smith has world class sparring before his shot as that was no preparation at all.

Garrison was given very little chance against the ex Olympian and its just as well Saunders wasn't in there with Dave Ryan, he'd have taken a steady beating. Saunders was blasé about the loss and it seems his heart's not in the sport, when you think of how other boxers have battled through fatigue, injury and a good hiding it puts his showing into perspective.

Smith looked fantastic and when he moves and counters he is really world class, he can really pick out a pin point and powerful counter. I hope he wins the title, it is incredible that Edner Cherry is still up there, he can really punch though, if he lands flush it is goodnight.

(I imagine the spars between Smith and Crolla are exhibition class, both are near virtuoso boxers and seem very decent and rounded people).

How is he overhyped? Show me 1 post where someone says he's going to win a world title, he's looked crap recently and nobody here has said otherwise.

I suspect the "thrown to the wolves" comment was born out of a desire to criticise the promoter at any opportunity, rather than a accurate reflection of the match-up.

Not really Magnus. The promoter will have known Saunders hadn't trained. He'll have also known that Garrido was capable. It seemed like a pretty unsympathetic piece of match making for someone who had been out so long and wasn't ready. Hence the 'throwing to the Wolves' comment.

Fair enough mate. I just think someone as well regarded (relatively) as Saunders was should be matched like that as a minimum. Before the fight I didn't think it was particularly ambitious matchmaking. If he wasn't fit enough that's his and his teams fault, not the promoters. In the post fight interview I thought he just mentioned his hands, not his fitness, although I did zone out a bit so could have missed a bit!

One in the 2nd, the other in the 4th. There's pictures of him at the hospital on FB. He even wrote "my hands just won't hold up".

That doesn't sound good - does he have a history of hand trouble ? (although after 20 years of consistently punching bags etc. every day since being very young before the hands are properly formed etc. it is a wonder that more boxers don't have big hand problems).

He's another Tony Jeffries then though he looked knackered after the 3rd round.

I was in the pub, so a bit pissed for this one.

I remember Smith knocking him out, that's pretty much it.

It's worth watching the show, Saunders went under though he'd broke both hands, Dodds was excellent, a very good fighter I'd never heard of and Smith boxed really well and he's hitting really hard, Morrison looks a really good prospect.

Hearing Saunders after the fight, retirement seems a possibility. His hands have completly gone. I thought Garrido was great though. Absolutely solid. Would love to see him over here again.

I can envision a scenario where Eddie brings him over to headline a show against another top LWW where Garrido can be showcased as the man who beat undefeated Olympian Bradley Saunders

All on PPV :box:

He's said today he can't even pull his underpants up or tie his shoelaces up. Sounds devastated. He said he ran out of ideas because he couldn't punch. His mum isn't happy. Said he should have pulled out.

I'd fancy him to beat Hibbert. Doubt I'd pay £15 for the pleasure though lol
Be a good fight though.
