2006' as one of the best fighters in world now it's soon to be 2016 and he's still there at the ELITE level. The #3 attraction in the sport behind

Floyd and Manny. He's the richest fighter from Puerto Rico as well owning his own promotional company promoting young talent from the island,

owns various real estate, owns a dozen gas stations, etc.. He is the most successful fighter and the smartest with investing his money. I don't

care about who would win a war between Tito or Miguel I am speaking of terms of achievement BOTH in and out of the ring. When Tito lost to

Hopkins he was never the same and retired. Cotto? Look at what he's been through and look now he's about to headline a huge PPV blockbuster

event on a mainstream scale. I am sorry Cotto has outdid Tito Trinidad!

Cotto beat just one Hall of Famer, an aged Mosley in a close fight which saw the prime Cotto backpeddling his way through the final round. Trinidad would have punched holes through Cotto at Welterweight and Light Middle, as would De La Hoya. This pair at their best were IMHO better Welters than the two guys who beat Cotto at Welter and better Light Middles than the two guys who beat Cotto at Light Middle.

Cotto, the most overrated boxer in my eras of watching boxing, lost every big fight he's been in aside from the one with a 40 year old man with bad knees. Cotto's other titles were vacated belts that he picked up by beating junk.

Trinidad is by far the greatest PR fighter in history. Here's a guy that handed Oscar his first loss. He defeated one of the top P4P fighters of all time, Pernell Whittaker. He handed top boxer at the time, Fernando Vargas, his first loss. He beat Winky Wright as well. In his career, he defeated 3 boxers that won gold medals in the Olympics.

The body of work between the two is not even remotely close. Felix Trinidad is the greatest PR boxer in history. Now if Cotto beats Alvarez and then has the nuggets to take on GGG and defeats him? Then we might have a different conversation because the end of a boxer's career is just as important as beginning and the middle. It's not too late for Cotto to make this a little closer but right now, it's all Trinidad.

I'm a Cotto fan but he hasn't beaten a top (& I mean TOP opponent) since Mosley. Martinez (another fighter I love) had a lot of physical wear & tear & had (in my humble opinion) lost to an average, but tough, fighter in Murray.

If he beats Canelo then he is in with a shot of Best Puerto Rican fighter. I have him down to lose based on recent form but this is boxing and who knows.

I'd have Carlos Ortiz, Wilfredo Gomez & Felix Trinidad above him right now.

Benitez at his best was better than Cotto at his best. But he was done by 25.

As for who has the most money, I really don't care.

But Long Live The Puerto Rican boxer & the fantastic people from that island. Love the place. Was there many many times when I worked around the Caribbean.

The underrated but great, Carlos Ortiz, would have boxed circles around Cotto.

As has been stated, Cotto has lost most of his major bouts, except for the close nod over an aging Mosely. He'll stick to his track record and lose his next major contest.

Ortiz beat a slew of outstanding champions, including Sugar Ramos, Ismael Laguna, Joe Brown, Flash Elorde and a draw (in Argentina) with Nicolino Locche. Cotto would have been connecting with nothing but air in a showdown with Ortiz.

Cotto could only hope to duplicate the accomplishments of probably the best Puerto Rican fighter ever, Carlos Ortiz.
