I just love the guys attitude unlike Mitchell Smith he doesn't bad mouth people to get attention he keeps quiet and gets on with it. He has also come up the very hard way too going in prizefighter as a kid pretty much.

I also like Sam's attitude but it has been born from necessity, he didn't have a senior amateur career and turned pro as a last resort. Smith won the ABA's at 18 and that takes some doing - being one of the best domestic senior amateurs means being fast tracked and a bit more of the star treatment. Smith worked hard for his pro advantages - they weren't just given to him.

I'd pick him to beat Ward.

I still think Ward getting the draw against Maxi first time round was a shocking decision. Maxi should of got the nod their.

Hopefully the board start making some fights for British titles involving these fighters now.

Safe to say I think Mitchell is staying at super-feather.

That tends to be how I look at it too. Smith, whilst scoring some lovely KO's, has been facing naturally smaller men (heck Tubeiron was essentially a Super Bantamweight) whilst Eggington has been facing solid domestic guys in even match ups.

I take all that on board and agree to some extent and if you look at the boxers who have won the award previously have had unbeaten records and very solid amateur credentials, not saying its right.
