Green's next fight in Melbourne - early December
Re: Green's next fight in Melbourne - early December
bogan whisperer:The guys knocked out at least tried to engage there opponents to actually get knocked out. Drews ran all night and far from being distraught was smiling at the end of the fight.

Soliman limped all night too. Because he was injuredDA GOOSE wrote:bogan whisperer:The guys knocked out at least tried to engage there opponents to actually get knocked out. Drews ran all night and far from being distraught was smiling at the end of the fight.
Re: Green's next fight in Melbourne - early December
Or pretending to be injured what does Soliman have to do with this topic? Back to the topic Green will fight an obscure opponent that will fight at least 10lbs heavier/lighter than their normal fighting weight.bogan whisperer wrote:Soliman limped all night too. Green will fight who he chooses. Draw another big crowd in Melbourne. Make a whole lot more money, and no doubt you will whinge endlessly afterwards. But he won't even get to hear it. Let alone care

oh I miss the good old days of this forum.
just constant negativity now.

Re: Green's next fight in Melbourne - early December
Some would say you have an agenda defending every single Green opponent as legit cruisers when nothing could be further from the truth. Wlod and Tarver were legit fights at cruiser, danny got brutally ktfo. The rest of his "cruiserweight" career has been smoke and mirrors and everyone knows it.bogan whisperer wrote:
If Green had knocked Drews out early you would be claiming Drews took a dive. It's all about agenda with someone as habitually negative as you

You were claiming the Bolonti fight "wasn't fair", like he was being forced to drag a ball and chain around behind him.Francis75 wrote:Some would say you have an agenda defending every single Green opponent as legit cruisers when nothing could be further from the truth. Belonti fought on merit and lost because Green was the better fighter on the night.
Re: Green's next fight in Melbourne - early December
Belonti is not a cruiserweight matey. Green is. Green cannot make lightheavy but wants to fight them still.bogan whisperer wrote:

Green weighed in at 187.25 pounds. Bolonti weighed in at 186.75 pounds. There was half a pound difference in their weights.Francis75 wrote:Belonti is not a cruiserweight matey. Green is. Green cannot make lightheavy but wants to fight them still.bogan whisperer wrote:

Green didn't win every round because he was bigger. He won every round because he was better.
Re: Green's next fight in Melbourne - early December
I would be happy is Green in his next fight fights a proper cruiser at 200lb. Someone who has been campaigning at cruiserweight for several years and has a decent resume. Thats all genuine fans want. Not this nonsense of bringing smaller fighters up continually. Thats just BS and everyone knows it who is fair dinkum about the sport.
Re: Green's next fight in Melbourne - early December
Yeah and I'm sure Ricky Hatton or Tszyu would weight the same aswell. Should Greeny fight them next at his next dannyweight fight ? Belonti is a lightheavy.bogan whisperer wrote:

Green v Drew was a sham contest, anybody who cannot see this doesn't know boxing.
Agree with Francis, why can't Green just fight a genuine cruiser weight at the 200 pound limit rated in the top 30?

The fact Green weighed only 187.25 pounds last fight and is likely to be heading down in weight with a view to fighting a guy down the track who is a lot lighter than that is very likely the reason.MidniteProwler wrote:Green v Drew was a sham contest, anybody who cannot see this doesn't know boxing.

So why not move down to light heavyweight and fight a genuine top 30 light heavyweight at 175 pounds?bogan whisperer wrote:The fact Green weighed only 187.25 pounds last fight and is likely to be heading down in weight with a view to fighting a guy down the track who is a lot lighter than that is very likely the reason.MidniteProwler wrote:Green v Drew was a sham contest, anybody who cannot see this doesn't know boxing.

Re: Green's next fight in Melbourne - early December
Because he has fought twice at the limit against a inactive LHW Tarver and a guy who attempted to kill himself on anti-depressants coming off a gift decision and lost both times with home town advantage. Plus he wants another fight with ''the irrelevant p***ant and will try and get down in weight hoping Mundine fights him again.MidniteProwler wrote:Green v Drew was a sham contest, anybody who cannot see this doesn't know boxing.

That Green is 42 and has had one fight in 3 years probably has a lot to do with his opponent choice and weight.MidniteProwler wrote:So why not move down to light heavyweight and fight a genuine top 30 light heavyweight at 175 pounds?bogan whisperer wrote:

He will most likely fill Hisense arena again fighting whoever he chooses and thus progress a step closer to fighting the guy he ultimately wants to fight next year.
It's funny watching how much frustration Green's continuing success is causing some people
Re: Green's next fight in Melbourne - early December
Because IMO he can't make LHW because his body has changed from steroid use. That's why there was no testing before the Tarver fight despite IBO rules stating drug testing being mandatory after every IBO title fight(Tarver was caught out next fight against Kayode).MidniteProwler wrote:So why not move down to light heavyweight and fight a genuine top 30 light heavyweight at 175 pounds?bogan whisperer wrote:The fact Green weighed only 187.25 pounds last fight and is likely to be heading down in weight with a view to fighting a guy down the track who is a lot lighter than that is very likely the reason.MidniteProwler wrote:Green v Drew was a sham contest, anybody who cannot see this doesn't know boxing.

bogan whisperer: Here is a link to the IBO rules and regulations to world championship bouts go to the drug and stimulants section.
http://www.iboboxing.com/world_rules_regulations.html
part 2 clearly states that both fighters are to have anti doping tests before or after the championship bout.
And in this twitter exchange Green states after Tarver got busted against Kayode that Tarver may have dodged a bullet as neither man was tested.
http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/green-t ... war-138049
No drug tests despite it being IBO rules. The IBO letting Green fight Siaca,Briggs and the inactive Flores abusing hospital staff leaving after the police were called. Some people find that highly suspicious why was there no tests when Green himself states that he dwarfed State of Origin players yet made weight and retained strength?
