Will Hearn keep Brook vs Chavez ppv?

Post by rio »

We all know Hearn is a greedy c**t, however will common sense prevail or will he still keep Brook on ppv instead of regular sky sports?

If dec 12th Joshua - Whyte wasn't going to be PPV then yes but we All know that's the plan. In fact that's going to be the tricky issue for Hearn rather then October 24th IMO.

Brook - Chaves / Eubank
Will now be SS1

I would assume so.

Will just depend when it's rescheduled for, as to what the card is.

I voted No as don't think he has time to 'stack' the card as much as he needs to - but I wouldn't be surprised either way tbh.

Brook is a PPV international superstar and his fights could not be made without PPV

Can't even see how Eddie can make this ppv on his own. If the fury fight does go ahead next month will sky still be the broadcaster for the UK? Just thinking maybe they will move the Sheffield card to the new date.

Not worth the hassle as tickets are on sale and an undercard already in place. Sheffield does decent numbers anyway.

Also Chaves won't be on a great purse Jo Jo Dan will have been in more money and he is a significantly worse opponent.

it was a laughable PPV. The headline was a total mismatch, a glorified sparring session, and the half decent fights that were on the bill could have filled regular subscription slots.

At what point did PPV's go from being "mega events" to "volume in competitive undercard matches"? There wasn't even any kind of middleground in this transformation.

About the same time selling strawberries and mockney banter became essential youtubing for boxing fans.

I think the question is can he afford to switch it to non Ppv. Brook and Chavez would have been agreed purses based on Ppv money I would have thought.

He's a bit screwed here, he'll probably have to get eubank fighting someone top level and Joshua beating up a tomato can if he wants it to keep it Ppv.

Its going to be very interesting what is PPV on sky this year. I think the rescheduled Klitschko Fury date could mess it up for them.

Its obvious December 12th was intended to be another stacked card PPV. Going off what Peter Fury is saying its looking like end of November. Looking at Dusseldorf's football fixtures November 28th looks like the date. Surely sky would not have two PPVs within 14 days.

Could be Dec 12th though as Dusseldorf are at home the night before.

Will be clear by the end of next week.

I voted yes however surely he's not that naive. I know he's banged on about Brook being a ppv fighter now but so far it's been on a stacked card and alongside Klitschko/Fury.
