I'd like to add as well that I actually turned it off after I think the tenth 'cos Buglioni obviously wasn't going to turn it around & I didn't think Chudinov had the power to get a finish, & the ref & the corner were being (as usual) ten times braver than if the away fighter was in the same boat. I really don't like to see someone's brain bounced around for fvck all like that.
I did like it when the commentator piped up about round 9 about "Buglioni, how wonderful if he could see the final bell" & Barry shot him down immediately with "It won't be wonderful if he's got to take another twelve minutes [or whatever time was remaining] of this, John" with an appropriate air of reproach & Rawling paused in the blowhard cheerleading for one second & appeared to reconsider that he was asking a fighter who clearly wasn't able to do fvck all but get a pasting to continue to get pasted in order for the hometown crowd to have some reason to cheer or keep the viewer from turning over.
Of course, about two minutes later Rawling was back at it trying to drum up some cheap drama & Barry never mentioned it again but I have to say Bazzah went up massively in my estimation then.
Yes well put Barry as an ex fighter got it right, giving the oblivious Rawling a welcome reality check.
Really like Barry Jones as a commentator these days, he adds a massive amount to bxxxxxxx

Harsh To be fair to the Russian he was already stunned when he dropped his hands;
he was probably hearing bells anyway ......recovered very quickly though ...
very basic and hes not going to survive long at the top of the super middleweight division, but looks tough as hell.

What on earth are you talking about? Protect yourself at all times, including between rounds? Should fighters be keeping a high guard whilst walking back to their corner? The bell had clearly sounded the end of the round; the fighting should have stopped until it sounded again.

Kinda get what you mean horse, have seen plenty of occasions when boxers have had to evade a punch after the bell but usually they've had their hands low and would have to slip it, so perhaps chudinov is guilty of switching off too quickly.

According to you, Chudinov "deserved to taste the canvas" simply for abiding by the rules. Says a lot about your character
Buglioni brave but ultimately out of his level. Should definitely have been saved around round 9-10, those extra 2-3 rounds could have really put miles on the clock and I don't think he had it in him to get the late KO he was too knackered and had taken a lot of punches. I was seeing a really bad ending to that fight and was really relieved for him when the final bell sounded.
