Thought I would share my story on Young Stribling. He fought in almost 300 bouts in just 12 years, died at the age of 28, started off a featherweight and ended up fighting Max Schmeling for the world heavyweight title. My story below.

Dempsey retired in 1928 I believe but he fought exhibitions afterward. That 1931 bout looked serious. Was it?

300 bouts in 12 years averages out to a fight every 2 weeks. Wow.Old_Scores wrote:Thought I would share my story on Young Stribling. He had an interesting career. His mom was his trainer. He may have had over 500 fights if he had not been killed. Many of his opponents were not that good, but some were.
