Whoa! Weren't the NBC commentators saying "Duhaupas has not only never been knocked out,
he has never even been knocked down"?

And for once in their lives they were right. And he still hasn't been knocked down. I don't know what this guy here is talking about.
He's talking about 3:16 of the youtube link when Duhaupas was knocked down.

Where was he knocked down in that 2009 Bikoi fight? He KO'd Bikoi in round 3.
Check just after 3:00 and you'll see Duhaupas floored by this much smaller guy who had about a 25% KO ratio.

NBC commentators were not being honest, they were just building up Duhaupas to make Wilder look better.

Oh you guys are right. I missed that flash knockdown as I had just kind of jumped my way through the video in which D. was totally dominant and won by KO in round three. But yep you're right, it was a knockdown.

on fight night no one mentioned that. wlad
ran out of gas because he fought for the first
time on a big stage in his home country and
tried round after round to land a KO against
a veteran that was too tough to do him that
favour.

He threw like a hundred punches a round before he collapsed. Making up excuses--as our new Dutch friend is doing--is just asinine & leads one to look foolish.

See also: the poisoned vaseline which somebody apparently coated him in prior (or during? I never quite understood that excuse. Mind, I never understood any of Manny Steward's bullshit excuses. Tommy Hearns got his legs rubbed, & that somehow led to his chin giving out when hit by blockbusters by Marvin Hagler? Puh-lease. Manny was a great trainer, an astute businessman, a wily fella, & a complete & utter bullshit artist of the first water) to the first Brewster fight.

don't hold this one against him. it must have
been a terrible thing to witness the destruction
of his beloved tommy.
