Well, I suppose these rumours had to start soon..... Sounds like something of nothing to me.

I pray to the gods of Boxing this is bullshit...please don't ruin this fight! I will lend Calzaghe my hand for the night if it has gone again.

From the Sports Network website

Contrary to rumours circulating on a certain internet chat-room forum that WBO World Super-Middleweight Champion Joe Calzaghe has damaged his hand and that his fight with Jeff Lacy on March 4 at the M.E.N Arena is off, Sports Network would like to confirm that these rumours are untrue.

With anyone else we'd ignore this, but with Calzaghe we almost expect him to cancel. He needs this fight if he wants to be remembered as more than a beltholder.

When JC is training in Newbridge and the rumour starets in Manchester does this not smell fishy?

Incidentally, rumour has it that JC V JL has already sold more tickets in Manchester than RH ever did (Tszyu apart) and it has already out sold Hatton's Sheffield Arena unification.

Take note FA - Undercards sell the tickets!

Undercards certainly didn't sell it on the Hatton - Tszyu fight.

Are you kidding me

The heavyweight that was fighting Danny Williams was hilarious ... well worth the ticket sales and PPV sales :P

That was funny that! Especially the Brian May wig.

Haha the ring saying Lacy - Calzaghe could be like Castillo and Corales!

Do you think Sportsnetwork are fairly confident about this one? Reckon Lacy is a little overated? Joe is surely not at his peak any more..
