I'm not sure if Eddie can... I seem to remember reading somethere that Sky has informed Eddie to put on X amount of PPV's every year (cant remember the number). Not 100% sure if this is true though!mickey1975 wrote:It makes sense all round, except to possibly Eddie, for Sky to put Brook on Sky Sports.
Klitschko Out Of The Fury Fight!!

Re: Klitschko Out Of The Fury Fight!!
Sooooooo ...... Most people agreed that the Klitschko/Fury fight was enough on its own for PPV.
Out of the blue Brook is added to the bill, and we all wonder why (because you wouldn't add costs if you didn't need to).
A couple of weeks later the Klitschko/Fury fight is postponed and the Brook fight remains PPV. (bear in mind that when this happened before with Chisora and Haye, Fury was going nuts all over social media - there hasn't been a peep this time).
A month later the original Klitschko/Fury fight is back on PPV.
Therefore, there are 2 PPV events instead of 1.
Maybe I should stop reading conspiracy theory stuff ........

Also this recent post from Fury would suggest it is up to Sky and not Eddie!
It's now down to @SkySportsBoxing lets get it sorted, November 28 Düsseldorf Germany! @Klitschko
Maybe Sky will say to Eddie, 'Hey we dont need/want the Joshua fight PPV anymore, We've got enought this year now'.

This is going to be real interesting...I pray that Wlad/K2 push for November 28th but let's face it..their business people and if sky say more money can be made by waiting for a clear PPV slot in February then I guess they will probably go for then.
Would love for fast Eddie to get a slap in the chops by having one of his PPVs downgraded

Eddie doesn't own Sky. They will profit much, much more from the Fury bout.Boxerbeetle wrote:Fury isn't a Matchroom fighter, so Eddie won't care about Fury's best interests. Ridiculous to try to make him wait another 4 months after all these delays just because they want to find a PPV date. Hopefully Fury & his team won't deal with Sky again after this.
Re: Klitschko Out Of The Fury Fight!!
I think they realise that it'll certainly do more harm than good to have 3 PPV's in 7 weeks. It's common sense.PokerRob wrote:Whats stopping SKY from putting on another three PPV's, I don't get it???jamiem26 wrote:Eddie has said it definitely WON'T be 3.Naandrew wrote:They can't surely do 3 in 8 weeks !! Even Klitschko Fury isn't a PPV fight in Germany like Haye was.
Even if 1 (or 2) do bomb, they're still in pocket!
SKY can surely do what they want in regards to PPV's, and have 12 a year if they like. I don't get all this 'there's no PPV slot available in November'. Who makes and decides when a PPV slot will be, well surely SKY do, so if they want a Fury to be PPV in Novemeber it will be!
Whatever the reasons, they have confirmed there will be no more than 2 PPV's for the rest of the year - surely good news?
