Fury v klitschko back on 28th Nov ?
Fury v klitschko back on 28th Nov ?
make of it what you will.
Re: Fury v klitschko back on same date as before
No it's been put back just over a month originally was end of October
Re: Fury v klitschko back on same date as before
Moved from 24 October to 28 November, pending Sky approval.
What will Sky do re PPV? I imagine they will try to sell a single PPV which includes both the Brook and Fury fights.

They will try and bleed us dry and do two separate PPVs. The Crolla Vs Perez event is a week before, so it is unlikely that Matchroom will put on a big event on the 28th as well I don't think.johnswan1 wrote:Moved from 24 October to 28 November, pending Sky approval.

There was always gonna be two PPVs this year with OCtober 24th and December 12th.Batley18 wrote:They will try and bleed us dry and do two separate PPVs. Hearn has confirmed there will still only be two PPV's, so there's no change on that front really.

What do you reckon will happen with the Fury fight? Is it up for grabs again now for the networks?jamiem26 wrote:There was always gonna be two PPVs this year with OCtober 24th and December 12th.Batley18 wrote:They will try and bleed us dry and do two separate PPVs. I'm sure it will still be Sky Box Office, and I'm 90% sure it will be November 28th.What do you reckon will happen with the Fury fight? Is it up for grabs again now for the networks?
Really not sure how they're gonna make it work with only two PPV's - presumably AJ/WHyte won't be PPV, or maybe they'll make the Fury and AJ/Whyte fights a joint package?

My bad forgot the dates, sky sports have reported the story so hopefully this fight is on I'm really looking forward to it.

Don't worry about it - the Brook and fury fights will both be PPV's.jamiem26 wrote:I'm sure it will still be Sky Box Office, and I'm 90% sure it will be November 28th.What do you reckon will happen with the Fury fight? Is it up for grabs again now for the networks?

I expect that Eddie wants to test the water with Joshua and will have a PPV for his next fight (whether this happens in December or January is immaterial really).
I would be very surprised if they started combining shows for the benefit of the viewer - more PPV's are likely as opposed to less.
Re: Fury v klitschko back on 28th Nov ?
Is there any reason why they can't just charge less for the ppvs I.e. All 3 ppvs for £30 in total or something.

Yep, but not in this case.bripez wrote:Don't worry about it - the Brook and fury fights will both be PPV's.jamiem26 wrote:I'm sure it will still be Sky Box Office, and I'm 90% sure it will be November 28th.What do you reckon will happen with the Fury fight? There was a lot of scaremongering that there was gonna be 3 more this year - that isn't the case :)

Yes, sheer greed.Finn wrote:Is there any reason why they can't just charge less for the ppvs I.e. All 3 ppvs for £30 in total or something.

Re: Fury v klitschko back on 28th Nov ?
Well at least he's good news. I was expecting the fight to take place in 2016 after the injury.
Re: Fury v klitschko back on 28th Nov ?
I am now of the belief that the injury was not genuine, although I'm unsure of the whys and wherefores.
Re: Fury v klitschko back on 28th Nov ?
Reports that Nov 28th confirmed but nothing from Sky…
Re: Fury v klitschko back on 28th Nov ?
Hennessey have announced it as 28th Nov in a press release just now.

ITV now in the running with a bid, God that would be so good if they took this fight from sky
GO ITV !!!!
GO ITV !!!!
Re: Fury v klitschko back on 28th Nov ?
Fury strikes me as the type of guy who'd take a bit less now to get the monumental exposure that would come with the fight being on ITV. I hope they get it.
Re: Fury v klitschko back on 28th Nov ?
My biggest question is how did Wlad recover this quickly from his injury? Wasn't it a calf tear or something? I'd think that would take a little more than a 1 month postponement to heal properly.
Re: Fury v klitschko back on 28th Nov ?
Klitschko will box him a few rounds, keeping him on the end of his jab, then BOOM! a right hand on the jaw and Fury will do the crazy-legs before collapsing in a heap and taking the full ten.

Re: Fury v klitschko back on 28th Nov ?
Klitschko is very good at what he does but i dont think he's technically as good as Fury, not now and with the way he has tailored his style to grind opponents down with the simple 1-2Cap wrote:Klitschko will box him a few rounds, keeping him on the end of his jab, then BOOM! a right hand on the jaw and Fury will do the crazy-legs before collapsing in a heap and taking the full ten.
i'd like to see Fury come out southpaw useing his speed and reach to keep away from Klitschko's jab which hopefully wont be as effective due to the lefty stance and box Wlad in and out
I think Fury's skills are overlooked by a lot of people due to his charactor ,he's shown numerous times he can easily box to a plan without losing a round,he'll lose rounds against Wlad but he can defo outbox him,he has a lot more in his arsenal than Klit, except maybe power and experience

If Fury comes out southpaw he'll get absolutely destroyed by Wlad's straight right hand.

Re: Fury v klitschko back on 28th Nov ?
Thats the worry i agree,he just needs to make sure he's out of reach at all times when he's not throwing and hopefully his speed will get him out of harms way when he is throwing, its gonna take a very composed performance, similar to win Haye fought Valuev although twice as hardBoxerbeetle wrote:If Fury comes out southpaw he'll get absolutely destroyed by Wlad's straight right hand.
Even after my previous post i still think Klitscko wins by KO
