Better round for Ovill but I reckon he'll need a stoppage here. The judges will have Ramirez well ahead.

Big round for Ramirez in the 11th. Even if this fight were in England, I don't think Ovill is doing enough to the the belt here. Ramirez has an iron chin.

Big last for Ovill but I'd be amazed if he got this. Had Ramirez winning by 2 rounds.

Ramirez was VERY flat tonight, looks like he over-looked Ovill (for those judging him on just tonight's fight, he wasn't close to his best), Ovill performed out of his skin.

Thought Ramirez won that but fair play to Ovill. Ramirez is crap. I'd fancy Bellew to beat him.

Quality from Ovill, what a performance off just 11 days notice.

Big ask but do people think Frank has any chance of bringing Ramirez to the UK?

Would be an excellent fight alongside the Andy Lee Billy Joe bout which looks set for December.

Don't worry, I bet Boomer has already been on the blower 10 times to Eddie.

Just caught up with this. I didn't score as I went along, but a draw seemed fair enough. Credit to Ovill for that performance after just 11 days notice.

Hopefully it happens. A draw in Argentina is as decent a bargaining chip for a rematch as you'll get.

Cant argue with the draw i thought McKenzie nicked it 115-113 im just glad he wasnt royally whitewashed on the cards and his work was appreciated in Argentina,a lot of close rounds,Ramirez is bull like but so basic and 1 dimensional but he is strong and the harder punches came from him but i thought for the most part Ovill boxed his ears off, showing great foot work and movememnt and a good jab, switching occasionally to befuddle Ramirez, and his conditioning was first class

All the more impressive seeing as McKenzie came in a 11 days notice and travelled halfway across the world to the champs backyard,he should be proud of himself and maybe in a neutral venue he wouldve got the nod, hopefully theres a rematch :salut:

It was one of those fights I thought could have been scored wide to either fighter, depending on what you preferred. Personally I thought Ovill's good jabbing and more accurate punching just nicked it over Ramirez's constant going forward and more clubbing punches. Well done to Ovill on a career best performance. I have to admit I didn't think he deserved a world title shot but he proved me wrong. I don't think Ramirez will be champ for long.
