Crossweight Season *sign up thread*

Post by Crease »

Gentlemen, the new season will be beginning in the next few days, and I am pleased to announce that a unanimous agreement has been reached by the team of Commissioners. I can now reveal that next season will be known as Cross-Weight season which will compromise of two of the younger weight divisions - Cruiserweight & Super Middleweight.

In the draft (which will commence within a week) Managers will firstly select Cruiserweights then in the second round - in reverse the Super Middleweights will then be selected. The theory is, if you get a not-so-great Cruiser, you will have an excellent Super Middle.

The structure of the season will change slightly, in that the two weight classes will stay apart for the first half of the season - and both weight classes will have 2 World Titles & a minor belt committed exclusively to them - but the "Berlin Wall" (as we are choosing to call it) will be smashed in Week 21, and it becomes a free-for-all. Following that, everything opens up...

The WBC & WBO World Titles will be committed to Cruiserweight along with the IBO Title.
The WBA & IBF World Titles will be committed to Super Middleweight along with the WTF Title.

Anyway, let's move on for the time being - we have to start somewhere. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. If you wish to play next season, just drop a quick comment and you will be included in the Draft. If you don't, you may miss the draft and get poorer fighters because of it.

IN,

unless someone wishes us to set this one out, in order to give others a chance.

A single request for us to sit this one out, will be taken seriously, and honored.

We do feel badly with the sort of pain and humiliation that we impose on others season after season.

We will make every effort to increase our commitment to being gentle, kind and considerate in this upcoming season.

We may even have our fighters abstain from hitting, as a token of our sincerity on this matter.

Tomasino...up to his old ways of obfuscation and redirection again. No one is going to take your warning seriously, it's well knows that I am always willing to help the less experienced to gain skills, and am generously willing to give advice on how to master the subtle nuances of the sim.

I think they know who has their back, and who to watch out for, without your obvious fraudulent ploy for gaining the confidence of the unsuspecting newcomers.

Now prepare yourself for a future of disappointment and defeats, and take your usual place, pondering your hopeless plight, at the back of the class.

Last season I advertised the opening of our new season (due in part, because of the mass exodus to The Other Place) but I have not done that this season, because it recruited a lot of noobs who stopped participating after 3/4/5/6/7 weeks of simulated combat - sick of getting bullied and defeated by BoxBuzz probably -

And so our draft will begin VERY soon... I will finish tidying up a few bits and bobs then, the draft will begin... OH YES!

I almost forgot to ask, what is the current cost for an early draft pick? I forgot to pony up last time, and ended up one of the last in the draw.

How folks passed up Pernell that long is beyond my comprehension. But after dealing with his bruised ego, he performed well beyond his draft number.

Wait, how about first come first serve? You know who ever got to this thread first....and then count them down?

We've never tried that befaore. I like it. And I'm practically a majority of one.

You were already in #1 position for the cruiserweight draft and missed it.
