At first I thought promoter Glen was having a lend of me.
Re: Vic Darchinyan included in top Aussie card for Oct 3
by the looks of it, vic will need to be blindfolded to make a decent fight out of it.

Granted Vic's opponent does look frightfully underequipped. But there are some good fights on this card and you do get to see Vic, albeit probably only very briefly.

How do fights like this one Vic is down for get sanctioned? The guy he is fighting hasn't heard the first round bell in his past two fights and they throw him in against Vic. Who would do that to their fighter? Who would sanction it allowing it to happen?

They obviously added Vic after the poster was done:

It's not a title fight, therefore it ain't sanctioned. Our regulators don't approve nor disapprove matchupsbogan whisperer wrote:How do fights like this one Vic is down for get sanctioned? It is a dangerous non-process isn't it? Particularly when it delivers us bouts like this one Vic is scheduled for in a few days time.AntonS wrote:It's not a title fight, therefore it ain't sanctioned. Legislation disallows it. It's promoters & matchmakers responsibility. Besides, where is Government going to find a person within public service capable or willing to take on such position?

Doheny has WBA interim champion in his sights
http://www.irish-boxing.com/doheny-has- ... is-sights/?
TJ Doheny will look for a clash with Moises Flores the current custodian of the WBA Interim World super bantamweight title after he stops former two time World Denkaosan Kaovichit in Australia this weekend.
Doheny faces the toughest test of his career, but believes he will pass it with flying colours.
“When I win I hope it will move me up higher in the rankings and get me closer to a big title shot. I would love a crack at the WBA Interim champ.
All of Denkaosan Kaovichit 69 fights bar five have been for titles and he brings plenty of experience to the table. He may have operated at lighter weights for the majority of his career, but he challenged for a World title as recent as last year and three fights ago.
It is a totally different prospect for Doheny, but he hasn’t taken a different approach to training ahead of what could prove a break through clash.
“Training wise I haven’t changed much. We’ve just been working on how we are going to deal with him and the way I’m feeling at the minute there is no reason why I can’t put on a good show for the fans and get a stoppage win.
“Having just 12 fights some people might not think much about it but i’ll keep taking every opportunity that there and prove I am world class fighter!”

Well Vic's fight didn't last 2 rounds. What a surprise.
The surprise though was Cameron Hammond getting knocked off. Stopped in the 7th round.

I'd been out last night. Got home and read the result in Boxrec. Hammond's record read 13-1 there for a while. But I notice this morning it has been changed to 14-0.AntonS wrote:Result incorrect. Re: Vic Darchinyan included in top Aussie card for Oct 3
Read this morning TJ had a great win:
http://www.irish-boxing.com/tj-doheny-d ... -champion/
TJ Doheny had a career best win. Now based in Australia, the PABA champion successfully defended his continental crown at the Alexandria Basketball Arena in New South Wales against former two-weight world champ Denkaosan Kaovichit.

The 28 year old southpaw had his Thai opponent down in the first round and was dominant throughout, finishing the job in the fifth.
Doheny’s bout was the headline fight on a card that featured the Australian homecoming of former two-weight champ Vic Darchiniyan.
With the win, Doheny improves his record to 13(9)-0, while Kaovichit’s ledger now reads 63(26)-6(5)-1.

Hopefully, promoters will never deal with con Tassanu again

Thai editor Surasit Pipitakarn is no longer with us. IMO, In most cases Thai's records are nothing short of garbage & updates should be suspended 'til further notice or forever & ever
