What's happening to Clinton Woods?
Does anyone know when Clinton Woods is fighting next?
Plenty of talk about Jones and Co but no firm dates. Surely he must be getting low on cash he's been out for so long. Why are Sky not mentioning him when, he is potentially there only prime time fighter now Hatton has opted for the grave yard slots.
Anyone shed any light?

He failed to beat Johnson twice over here so how is that going to sell. Rubber Match is a decider, GJ has already beaten Woods (twice IMO)viciousmaussa wrote:Glen Johnson is his June mandatory, no Johnson fight and there's no title for Clinton to even defend vs Jones. That's the most realistic & urgent fight, a GJ rubber match.
If Johnson can keep looking good i hear GJ goes up to fight Bell, as they share the same promoter
So where's the answer, when is he going to fight. THe IBF title seems to have slowed him down. He spends more time watching others on FA shows than actually boxing himself.
Hatton and Haye got well paid by FA so why is he being treated like a leper despite him not jumping ship like the other two?
Perhaps he should do the same.

Fighters jumping ship ... interesting statement ... any news coming out of boxing yet ... lets be patient for a little while longer!!!
I really doubt Clinton would opt out of Fight Academy,i get the feeling he & Hobson are real close (friends rather than business).
If he's looking for Johnson in June i doubt he'll have a world title defence before then, maybe he can have a 10 rounder or summat like that just to keep him busy till that big fight comes along.

a rubber match will sell, as GJ's stock has raised dramatically after wins over Tarver and Jones. he's still got something left, as the GK Jones fight showed. bottom line is Clinton has to fight him to keep his belt, Clinton's whole claim to fame is his belt. besides, is there a better fight to validate Woods' championship, when you consider that he has the belt that GJ gave up? it's a fight that more than makes sense. wouldn't the Sheffield crowd like to see the improving CW get revenge? ppl have mor ebelief in his now that he's a world beater.
Johnson's now with Warriors Boxing. They seem to be trying to build up agod Jamiacan following in Florida, with GJ vs R Hall, and a potential G Johnson-Bell scrap. the latter sounds very interesting.

I'm sure plenty is going on behind the scenes.
The good news for Clinton is that he has a well-regarded 'world' title and most Yanks think he's eminently beatable.
But I agree, would be nice to hear about some plans. Seeing as RJJ-Hopkins has hit the skids (wouldn't surprise me if they both swallowed their greed eventually though), there's a tiny prospect of a fight there. Can't see it though.
