What Excuse Will Fury Use When He Loses?

Post by keithmoonhangover »

He's one of my favourite boxers, but as much as I would dearly love Tyson to win, let's face it, he's getting beat.

The thing I like about Fury best is his honesty...so I hope he will admit the better man won when he gets knocked out.

John Fury will jump in at some point with a 'I heart jews' t-shirt on and start rolling about with Wlad and the ref. DQ!

Blaming the ref(s) probably, I still hope he doesn't stop, like he said he does, if he loses.
For me, he has never been a top boxer, more like top 10 ish.

If he loses, I don't think there'll be any excuses put forward.

You're assuming he's going to lose. He might not. I don't think he'll come up with excuses either as he's already pretty much talked himself out of doing that.

Where's the 'someone massaged his legs' option?

That is my all-time favourite excuse for a defeat.

It just goes to show, even someone as celebrated as the late great Emmanuel Steward can come up with some pathetic losing excuses.

That was the excuse for Hearns losing to Hagler? :OhYes: I think he post because Marvin massaged his chin.

Yeah he said massages are what you have after the fight to relax you. Having that massage the night before the fight relaxed Hearns. I mean without that massage he wouldn't have been so lethargic in that first round would he?

As Syntax says, Steward was absolutely fantastic but by god.

I agree he is a talented big guy and a breath of fresh air in some respects. He is entertaining but as much as I'd like to see it, I can't see him dethroning Wlad. The AJ Bruno comment is just silly. People back AJ because like Fury he is very talented and also good for boxing but in a different way to Tyson.

AJ will never have the success Bruno had, in and out of the ring.

I'd love him to win mate. It is possible, but Fury has to fight the perfect fight.

Seems odd someone would make a thread like this about one of their 'favourite fighters'.
