This already had the making of a great fight for the Australian super welterweight title. But has been made all the more interesting by team King reputedly throwing a $20,000 bet at team Jerkic, which has apparently been matched.

So $40,000 Winner-Takes-All is the talk.
Venue and date to be announced shortly.
It's time ANBF got its act together & charged 10% of overall purse like WBA, WBC etc and not just 1k to sanction the title fight ;;-)

They should look at that as soon as they fix the lack of respect given to the Australian title
As you can see I'm now #2 and Choc is #1, it's time for a changing of the guard. I respect what you have done with your boxing Mundine but it's my time now. Don't worry about trying to rape the Australian public anymore of their hard earned money with this rubbish rematch with Green. This is an official call out to you Mundine, you also know it's personal too
Far from impressed with reffing. Adrian allowed way too many back of the head shots by Rocky
Had he intervened, I reckon the fight would've gone the distance, and would've been a close decision as it was at end of 7th
IMHO, he like his dad should retire to counting punches ;;-)

Were we watching the same fight? I can't believe they had the cards so close. I also fell it was King throwing the cheapies. Yes, King was walking forward, VERY rarely did he land clean shots but. Where as Rocky was rocking King almost every flurry he threw. King has an amazing chin and a huge heart. That's about it regarding that fight.

If only someone could bankroll it... Rocky for the win.

King was landing some nice body punches, Made up for them wild-ass hay makers that missed target every time.

There were some good body shots by King, but clearly didn't do serious damage compared to the punches he was eating.

I'm glad there is someone else that seen those 30 something shots to the back of Rockys head, very ordinary effort from the ref, I will be sending in a complaint very soon
Ps, I'm not blaming shaggy, the ref has a job to do and failed

How did Rocky pull up Rob?
I saw it as a great learning experience him. He has a great record, both amateur and now pro. But that was a baptism of fire and it made him dig deeper than he would ever have had to before.

Hi mate,
Rocky is fine mate, I think that's the fight Rock needed. He will grow a lot from that fight and is looking forward to his next challenge. He has grown in confidence and beleaves he can now beat anyone that's put in front of him
The ref was terrible and it was average for the entire card.
back of head shots should be the biggest fouls policed in the ring, and there were several throughout the night not just by Shaggy that went unattended.
very impressed with Rocky's perfromance.

The way Rocky celebrated immediately after the final bell showed how relieved he was as much as anything else. Belief is bourn out of winning fights like that where you have seen a loss staring you in the face and refused to accept it. Good luck to him. Hope it adds to his self belief going forward.
Thanks guys, there was a lot of pressure on Rock for that fight, everyone said he was only a 4 round fighter without any any ticker ect, well he proved a few people wrong that night. Stick with him as I think he will grow from strength to strength now

It was a good win, And what makes it better is that it was on free to air TV which opens him up to the general public. Hope to see him again on Footy-show fights nights.

Thanks mate, he is on the next one 100%. Another tough fight and an awesome card coming up

Was there any truth to the 'winner takes all' talk being thrown around? If there was, Rocky will have gotten nice and cashed up. But I'm guessing they will have both got paid.

They both received a purse, the rest was a side bet

This bloke who has he beat :?? to be calling out former World Champion's come on Rocky you have untapped potential no doubt but you are putting the cart before the horse there is a truck load of domestic fight's out there for you these fighter's are like you on the same level as you are right now [that is not world class yet] you need to start fighting some 12 rounder's before you even dream you are a genuine World class scrapper
beating a what was he 37 year's OLD Shaggy King who I have nothing but respect for doesn't earn you the right to be Challenging some-one who almost single handily kept Boxing alive in this country for the best part of 15 year's you need to listen to some of the critic's who have said you
won't fight any-one that can spell fight you need to get real mate and get on with your own career instead of trying to get a man who is clearly past his best name on your log..............Mundine would still kick your ass anyway........and so will Dwight Ritchie

From the history I know of Rocky and Choc, a fit Rocky would blast Choc out of there. I'm a mad Choc fan, but I hope he retires. He has kept boxing in AUS alive for 15 years, and it's time to move over. Who are these domestic fighters that are "on the same level" as Rocky right now that you speak of? The same fighters that have refused to fight him over the last few years! Ritchie goes well, but has ever faced a fighter that isn't feather fisted? Rocky would destroy him.
